Help Verifying a Watch

Dear Forum members,
I turn to you for help. I have recently been offered a quite interesting Vacheron Patrimony. However, I can´t really verify if its a "one of a kind". The seller is legit and is in good faith, known him for many years,  but I´d like to know if anyone has any info on this model, particularly given the intricate work of the band. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks in advance and an excellent 2012 to all!

Hi and welcome. The watch looks its from the "Essentielles" series, likely after 1960. Opening up the back to see the case and movement number would certainly help to authenticate and date it. Intesting clasp, very unusual but very interesting.

This Ref. 7054 from 1967 appears to be of similar design, but I believe this is a ladies model.

It would have helped if this poster had disclosed the seller describes his watch as a Ref. 6898 on the listing.
