Beautiful watch, it should have a cal 1071/1072 movement inside.
Getting an original buckle will not be easy as they do not come up very often. The 2 options you can get from VC today are:
1. a modern, half-Maltese Cross shaped, buckle.
2. A vintage style, square, buckle.
There is a deployant option if you wish, but they only come in with the modern, half-maltese cross, option.
in steel or WG?
So I don't know.
Besides a steel deployant, I've never asked about steel, half-maltese, cross buckles either...so I don't know if they are available either.
I usually like a black strap with white metals, but that is fantastic looking. Congrats and welcome to The Hour Lounge.
Lovely . Perhaps you've already done a search on the forum for the ref 6562. There is a good deal of interest in the fact this reference was designed as a steel watch rather than being one variation along with precious metal cases. It also came as date and non-date versions, and retailed about 30% less than similar gold V&C watches with same movement. Ironically, today the steel watches are more scarce than gold!
Notice the differences in hands and indexes, a little refresh that happened every 25 pieces or so.
Thanks all!!! Very Informative
The next watch i am looking at is a 222 Jumbo SS. If anyone knows of any leads, pls let me know!
Best of luck to all!
Congrats on a beautiful watch and welcome.
