The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest

Yup on march 27 it will be four years that The Hour Lounge was launched.  As in life there have been cycles, fun moments and tough times, newbies who have become experts, those who went from being lurkers to huge posters and back to lurking and those who each day participate, share and overall make The Hour Lounge what it is today.

I wanted to thank each and every one of you for making this happen, it is extremely difficult for a single brand forum to obtain continuous participation and interest and it would not be possible without you...the Loungers The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest

To celebrate this anniversary I am organising a small contest, the prize being a beautiful Vacheron Constantin beach towel (you'll be the most stylish on the beach this summer The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest)

The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest

Rules:
All you have to do is post your favorite Vacheron Constantin in the current collection. The contest is open until March 27 midnight Geneva time. The name of the winner will be randomly drawn and announced on March 28.

You can only post once
Good luck The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest

My favorite VC in the current collection:  the Patrimony Traditionnelle Openworked Perpetual Calendar, in RG. My favorite VC in the current collection that I actually own: the OS DT YG: My favorite VC not in the current collection that I actually own: the Malte Squelette. Thanks for the contest, Alex! Best, GaryG

Alex, My favorite VC in the current collection is of course the ultimate: the Patrimony Traditionnelle calibre 2755.  Thank you for this contest and making the Hour Lounge a fantastic community to discuss VC timepieces! Best, Mike
My current favorite VC in the current collection ...
03/22/2011 - 17:56
that fits my wrist ... Another favorite would be ... but it feels like a "plate" on my wrist There are some more, but most don´t feel comfortable on my wrist. Hopefully VC will take care of smaller wrists in the future ... Let´s see who is more stubborn, me or VC Oliver

Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time
Re: Re: The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest
03/24/2011 - 02:31
My favorite VC masterpiece is the Patrimony Contemporaine Perpetual Calendar.
This one is easy for me
03/22/2011 - 20:02

...and I guess not a surprise. Best, respo

Equation of Time
03/22/2011 - 20:09
My choice would be the Patrimony Traditionnelle calibre 2253 Collection Excellence Platine . For purely practical reasons (I would tell my banker...) the Equation of Time indicators would be handy when camping and adventure racing so that I could use all available daylight.  The perpetual calendar would assist with keeping track of the outside world during epic desert crossings or unfortunately long snow cave bivies.  Platinum is very durable and would repel many of the bumps and knocks that occur when climbing or cutting wood.  And without TV, just watching the little tourbillon wheel tick around would be entertainment!   Kidding aside, that is one gosh darn nice watch which I was very pleased to see on the bench at Plan-les-Ouates.  If I had the desire for a current production model, this piece would be on the short list.
My favourite VC
03/22/2011 - 21:19
Hi Alex, My favourite VC is the Quai de L'ile Day Date and Power Reserve... Thanks Alex for such a great forum....happy 4th Birthday! Best regards JAMES

Re: The Hour Lounge's 4th anniversary contest
03/22/2011 - 21:52
My favorite is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Grey Chrono of course.
The 82035 / 000R - 9359
03/22/2011 - 22:37
1921 is gorgeous and almost won my vote (I have placed the deposit) but in the end the true object of my desire in the 'no holds barred' decision of decisions is that... ... the 80172 / 000P - 9589 is it. Money no object, this Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2755 is the one I'd have to own (no deposit placed!). I think the VC reference number department should be given a holiday and asked to take a short walk off a long cliff. Alex & fellow 'Loungers' - I've enjoyed every day I logged on, had a laugh, learnt a great deal and met some fabulously friendly and interesting people. Hurrah!
Someone choose the WorldTime!
03/22/2011 - 22:51
quick!....
Does it help...
03/22/2011 - 23:19
...if I say that the World Time is my favorite VC lauched THIS year, or that I think it is one of the three most compelling watches launched so far this year by any manufacturer?   Best, respo

I had the great pleasure to discover and wear My favorite VC: Les Masques "China" Unfortunately not mine, only my wristshot. Thanks VC to create these collections. I dream of the same calibre in a "set" of 1 watch  Many thoughts for the Japanese people and all loungers there. Thanks to you Alexandre for this purpose. Happy new anniversary Cheers, Liger
Now for something completely different...
03/23/2011 - 02:28
I really like the 1972 Large Model High Jewellery 18K White Gold.  Stunning piece.  Would look wonderful on a ladies wrist.  Look it up!  Richard

Without a doubt: Patrimony Traditionnelle World Time Thanks for the opportunity to win a little piece of VC "heaven." Kindest regards. gary
Patrimony Traditionnelle calibre 2755 in Pink Gold
03/23/2011 - 03:29
Alex, you didn't say I had to choose one that I could actually afford, - so this would be my favorite due to the minute repeater.  Listening to the experts at VC, pink gold is the best metal for a MR. If I was to choose from something that was in the realm of affordability (though it would take some time to save up in the watch fund), it would be the World Timer. BR, Dan
I can't decide between Patrimony Contemporaine and Patrimony
03/23/2011 - 04:00
Traditionelle Chrono. Both are beautiful. Contemporaine, though very simple and plain, it just speaks for itself. Elegant and beautiful to look at. The chrono is another classic favorite (better than Malte chrono)! But since I only have the Contemporaine, then I'd say it's the one

Hi Alex, fellow Loungers. The watch that really has my interest at present is the Historiques 1954 Aronde (I hope I got that right).  I also like the WT but I have a feeling that it might be too big for my wrist. Thanks to Alex and VC for coming up with this contest.  Good luck to everyone. All the best, Kazumi

Hello Alex, I hope you are well. This is in reply to your request towards a favorite timepiece. I therefore suggest my personal opinion after thinking. PATRIMONY - A qualification for certain awards, honors, or privileges. Is my suggestion. On another matter, I would like to ask about children's watches at some stage before September this year. Small hands do great things in time. My daughter, Grace. Your friend in time, Randolph William Scott.

WOW, a very difficult decision to make. My Favorite Vacheron Constantin is the Overseas Auto with a black dial. I love this time piece! It's my everyday wear, but still get praise when I dress it up for an evening out. Ironic that an instrument used to measure time is really timeless itself. Cheers, Grady
