How its Made

There is a TV show here in Canada called How its Made which shows how many things large and small are made.
They've done some taping this year outside of Canada and more specifically in Switzerland.
There were 2 segments from Reuge on their music boxes and their singing birds (in cages and pop-up boxes)...fascinating!
This morning's show was on making an Alpen Horn and then a long segment filmed Blancpain (why not VC?)
on the construction of their tourbillon. Now that was very interesting. I know most people here know how it made but still to see it from the beginning with the assembly, anglage and perlage and testing was terrific. For those who don't know about these things its very instructive and educational.
They probably stream their stuff, so google "How its Made" and have a look.

Hi Joseph!  I'm a great fan of that show also.  It covers the mundane, like making coat hangers, to assembly of jet engines.  Fascinating stuff no matter what the subject.  Two years ago I submitted a request through their website to cover Swiss watch manufacturing.  They didn't respond but I'm so glad to hear they did cover the topic eventually.  I'm sure many people made the same request to lead to this episode.
you are correct JB
