I do not think it has, :( so it is authentic when do not have the case number on the back?
the dial is obviously redone but all the rest looks good BUT
01/09/2012 - 19:48
the lack of case number is fishy
For some VC watches....

the case number is engraved on the outside of the case back. Look for a six digit number there. Bill

are u  sure the dial is re done? , because the seller is high repupation in my country and he guarantee that it is 100% original
I Have just check with the dealer
01/10/2012 - 09:23
and he say the Case number is 439510, can you help me now ?
can you give me the movement number?

You mean the Ref number ??? i think it is 7811 but can you tell me how
01/10/2012 - 13:16
do you know the Dial have been redone ?
no I need the number which is written on the movement but not
01/10/2012 - 14:56
the caliber reference number which is 1014. The individual movement number is on the bottom left of your photo. Dan zoomed and gave a number but I need to be sure
Zooming in the existing mvmt picture, the # looks like 329282? (nt)

I checked and the case and movement numbers do not correspond :-(
01/11/2012 - 10:10
.
I will check again with the dealer about the Movement Number, the Case
01/11/2012 - 10:47
number is 100% right, However can you tell me why you sure that the dial is remade ?
it looks reprinted, too much contrast between the black and the black
01/11/2012 - 11:12
hands are not original either. they look repainted

same dial as yours can be seen in this link: http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog.html?action=load&lotid=38&auctionid=125 how the inside of the caseback is supposed to look like can be seen here: http://www.google.dk/imgres?q=vacheron+ref.7811&um=1&hl=da&sa=N&biw=1024&bih=629&tbm=isch&tbnid=hPvLRnlW2UruoM:&imgrefurl=http://www.lamesuredutemps.com/one.cfm%3F7811%26uuid%3DAFFAD21A-A361-4BCF-9C253976E1FFA2E3&docid=nPn6VTsS5667EM&imgurl=http://www.lamesuredutemps.com/documents/Vacheron%252520Constantin%25252018%252520K%2525201014%2525205.jpg&w=797&h=779&ei=Cw8NT7vnMqPP4QSo4ICBBg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=244&vpy=297&dur=684&hovh=135&hovw=138&tx=124&ty=110&sig=106224561961919183198&page=1&tbnh=135&tbnw=138&start=0&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:8,s:0 I think it is a light reflection causing that the case number can´t be seen in your picture. However casebacks with same reference number do not necessarily look exactly alike. It depends on the casemaker. Both Vacheron, Patek, and Audemars are known from time to time to use independent casemakers. The number stamped inside the key suggest casemaker. On overview of key numbers designating origin can be found somewhere on the internet (i have seen it before but can´t seem to find it right now)
