I tried, but didn't even come close to getting this one yesterday.

I was bidding for this pocket watch from Christie's NY auction, which was held yesterday.  It is a Minute Repeater with Split-Seconds Chronograph from 1908.

Bad news: I wasn't close
Good News:  Hammer price of $27K went well over the estimated $10K-15K

I am sorry you lost out on this one.  But frankly, I was surprised by the estimate and by the result.  It seems like an amazing catch for the lucky bidder. Best regards, Robert

Pocket watches are definitely coming back in trend. That beauty was certainly under-estimated. Thanks for sharing, Dan!
