I tried, I really did.

Tried to resist the "siren song" of allowing another VC watch to coil itself

around my wrist. Wax in my ears, patches over my eyes handcuffed myself to the  lamppost out front, nothing worked. Of course The Hour Lounge was of no help , thanks guys. I understand that this watch uses the cal 1410 22 jewels and is based on the cal 1400 20 jewels. Are the two extra jewels for the moon phase complication. Also does anyone know how many gaskets this watch has.I see that VC makes or made caps, are they still available for purchase.   Disregard the last photo.I'm only putting it there to remind myself to check my tire pressure when I get home.

Yes watch is on my wrist. Your (Alex) dial comment in your post (July 31 2009) on this

model is spot on. The dial has to be seen in the flesh to really see howbeautiful it is. About the water tight gasket(s), are there two, one for the backwhere the 6 screws are and one at the crown.I posted watch at the hour club.thanks nick
looking forward to the wrist shots :-) there is normally one

Congrats!  VCs have proven to be quite addicting... Hence the Hour Lounge!  (As a refuge for the afflicted).   :-)

I'm not sure if the 2 additional jewels are for the moon phase or power reserve.

I don't believe the hats are officially for sale at VC boutiques, I think they are gift items but I've seen them available on online auction sites.

Best Regards, Dan

Thanks for the idea about looking for a cap on online auction sites.

Will be going to China soon to visit in laws. The family will spend our time in Hangzhou.

I can't wait.

best wishes nick
