Identify a Vacheron Constantin Watch

I was given a Vacheron Constantin watch from my father several years ago prior to his passing. He purchased the watch in the early 1960's so it is approximately 45 years old. However, I don't know if it was new when purchased so it may be older. I have tried to identify the style and type of watch but have been unsucessful. I was hoping somone on the forum could help identify it.

According to the original paperwork it is a model 96498, 18K gold with a gold mesh band. The face is white with no numbering or time indicatiors. The diameter is listed as 20.80 mm and the thickness (hauteur) is listed as 1.64 mm. I can provide a pictures of the watch if that would help. I would appreciate any comments or insight. Thank you.

Caliber 1003, which was available from 1955.  I'm guessing your model number is probably the case number.  Need pictures!
