A man that's sick, is as you all knows, very, very sick,
and when a Doc, for the first time in 10 year is....
But, I was lucky to find this,
when I was in the safe.
It's now on the desk,
and to me,
it's the most beautiful of all watches I have seen,
or held in my hand.
True Art Deco from 1920's,
influenced by the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb.
BTW, when the pics were presented world wide,
of the tomb opening,
I think 1923,
they had learned from Hollywood,
to put light inside (!) the hole,
for the dramatic effect :-)
This watch was made by the firm Verger Fréres in Paris,
of course a V&C movement,
VF lately became owned by Vacheron&Constantin,
and the watch was sold by Marchak,
on THE street in Paris.
Just ask Alex :-)
It's a so called "surprise watch".
also one of the movement,
which I managed to open recently,
by dropping it on the floor :-)
Please notice the cubistic figures!
Anyway this is my second love,
my first has not come home yet,
but when she does,
I will look real sick :-)
Today I need care...
