What! No Sputnik watch??

Seriously, though...some very lovely pieces indeed.

I had never seen photos of the Moscow Boutique...very impressive.

I'm glad they got away from that Stalinist architecture (LOL)

Regards,

Joseph

had their been a Sputnik I would already have made a down payment :-)

Just beautiful...
06/19/2014 - 16:19

Of course, I had been trying to break myself of the habit of always buying white metal/dark face combinations.  My last acquisition was the OS Dual time on Steel with the silver face, so that was as step in the right direction.  I had been planning for the Bi-retorgrade in white gold with the silvered face - and now THIS.  it is, as Alex would describe it, achingly beautiful.  Hmmm... time to revisit my vow to break my fetish - perhaps best to simply learn to live with it.  I hope one does not have to go to Moscow to get these.

And yes, Joseph, thank goodness we did not end up with THIS:

Just beautiful...

Cute ;-)

and yet another EofT to lust for broken heart.  Actually, the perp calendar looks really good too, with a nicely balanced dial yes.

Funny you mention Equation of Time
06/20/2014 - 10:27

It doesn't seem to be discussed much, really, but it is one of my favorite complications.  It is not because it is particularly usefu in a modern sense, but rather because of its historical significance and the "geek factor" of it, I guess. I like the idea that the watch tells you what time we have all agreed to call it and also what time it really is. It is a reminder of the some of the roots of horology and the importance it played in navigation in the early years.

Awesome. These pieces are elegant, sophisticated, and Badass

at the same time. But then Moscow has its share of 'badass' tycoons and probably has the highest concentration of billionaires in the world. The QP and Bi-Retro are simply AWESOME.

I have enough problems already!

I was trying on, like for the millionth time the platinum gray dial PT yesterday, and here we go with this perpetual.  I am not a really big rose gold guy, and have been waiting forever for a white metal perpetual, as I love the look of th VC design. And now we finally get one and it is limited. Bah!  That is one beautiful watch with the black dial.

Best,

joe

That is one beautiful boutique!

And it looks like the local market has a preference for white metal and black dials yes

These limited editions look really nice.  I'm not a big fan of the bi-retro...but this color combo is a hit!

The PC and 2253 are luscious.

I'm odd man out! I only like black dial and white metal cases in

Sports watches

I own too many in both, sports and dress!
06/21/2014 - 04:17

I go weak in the knees. Respo just emailed me and told me I don't need this watch.

i have a mental image that the blue of the moon just stands out against the black. It would be good that the moon stinks. Then I can do what respo says.

But somehow, now, I don't think the VC designers did that. I am betting it is a killer

i rationalize that my 43150 is the same case, same crown, same hands, better markers, an EP dial.  Platinum case to boot. And less money!

so why do I still like this black killer?

Very wintery - like Moscow

Of the four, I like the Traditionelle with the grey dial the most.  The others are a bit stark for my tastes, but they might look different in the Moscow light.

Beautiful boutique!

Couldn't resist to visit Moscow Boutique..

.. so today I went and played a little with these limited models.

Here is a quick iPhone's photo of 3 limited masterpieces: at left 1 out of 1, at centre - 1 out of 20 and 1 out of 30 at low right side.

Sorry for low quality pic but I hope it'll be interesting to see limited models anyway blush

Looks as at centre is my new favourite piece.. angel

Does this mean that iLarry will be a personal shopper...
06/24/2014 - 21:44

for some of the Loungers who may want one of these pieces but cannot make it to the Moscow Boutique?
