Rose gold with dark dials seems to be the trend....

Touching on a thread we had months ago..

definately very "in" right now, especially with a rubber strap! But VC
05/21/2008 - 16:41

claims that the inspriration for creating RG/black dial watches only for their boutiques comes from their vintage models from the 40s-50s where thet often used this combo.

A claim I have not checked....

I noticed a new feature on the website....
05/21/2008 - 16:58

A little "new" box pops up next to new threads.  Makes it easier at first glance to see what has been missed.

Regarding the vintage models, I guess as they say "whats old is new again"

The "New" mention is very useful (nt)

The "NEW" icon is very useful!! Thanks Alex and VC Team!!!!

Although the watch itself...

is not my favorite in the current V&C lineup, I love the look of the movement!

Very lovely watch in that combination. I really like the Malte case generally but I prefer the dial in the Overseas or tonneau case.

Is it yhe same movement in those 2 other versions, I don't recall?

Regards,

Joseph

the Malte Tonneau and Overseas you are referring to are dual
05/21/2008 - 22:58

time watches (automatic, JLC base) whereas this one does not have a second time zone indicator and is hand wound (inhouse cal 1420)

Thanks, Alex

You are quite right. The layout is similar on the dial.

As you have said and I believe that Mr. Torres has said as well, VC will eventually go to all in-house movements.

Regards,

Joseph

Another winner!

A nice combo for the Boutique!
05/21/2008 - 23:04

But I also like the WG model.

Nonetheless, I don't remind VC really produced vintages with black dials, or only a few have appeared in public till now.

But even on documents, it's quite rare to find some...

The NEW pop up window is quite useful and welcome too: thanks for acting on a more convenient use of our favorite forum, Alex.

Cheers

is the movement # really 5+ million?

I have no idea how the numbering system works like but definately VC
05/22/2008 - 10:11

has not made 5 million + movements!

Maybe the first yellow/rose gold I would like to wear
05/22/2008 - 12:09

With the limited Moskow perpetual.

This watch is marvelous.

No hope to see it in Strasbourg !!!

I usually dislike the Malte range but this one is nice (nt)
