Wonderful !!!
Why do I see this one on Radek's wrist soon? :-)

Another piece to win the hearts of tourbillon's lovers...
In my dreams, Rei... I wish ;-) (nt)

Nah, you're being too modest Sir... :-) (nt)

Impressing!

Yes it's full of decorations and complications, yes it's rather fantastic, but still I think this is the most beautiful VC to be seen. Sorry it's to big for my wrist, I wish they could make one 38-39 mm. I think it's Alex who has taken the pic. But I love the simpleness, no date and manual, it's just as outstanding, as it were tragic to see all the 'better' brands at SIHH showing their bad copies Cheers Doc

Hi Mats, It looks like I'll only be able to afford the pyramid as well! Joseph
That's one bad Boutique Edition VC!!!
04/24/2009 - 21:03
I stilll prefer the previous Malte Tourbillon version to the new over-sized model... Did I really say that? l

I'm with you on that, Radek! The older one fits my wrist just right!

I agree.  That black regulator tourbillion is a very bad mama!   Now if only I can convince Obama to extend a bail-out package for me too... I definitely wouldn't mind having Radek and JB's Tourbillions though.  They're just as bad, but with a touch of elegance. I also agree with Doc that the Contemporaine EP is THE prettiest among the bunch.  Luckily Radek promised to give me his once he gets another beauty (or did I just dream that up...).   Still, I consider myself lucky to at least have this. Thanks for the post Alex.   Enjoy your weekend, guys! Kazumi
Cool buttons, Joseph!!! What movement are they patterned after? (nt)

Its a real movement, but of course non-functioning. I don't really remember where I got it. It was at least 20 years ago, long before I had any real interest in watches. I found them interesting. They weren't very expensive at the time. They're definitely not solid gold! , but just plated. The one in the photo is from a company called "Helbros" which I vaguely recall. I think they were American. The mate is completely different...different movement and company. A nice little curiosity. Regards, Joseph
Pyramidal!
04/26/2009 - 00:57
Here I'm repeating me time after time, calling for smaller watches, and I'm always kept locked out! Yep Joseph, one pyramid each! Radek and you are already home. There is a limit for everything in sizes. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder(?), as you say. What do a girl prefer, a small elegant sports car or a big truck? Those buttons are really nice! Is it the same as I was looking for some years ago? It's a German (?) lady who makes them of different movements? I than asked anyhow, if she could a pair that was working, needn't have a dial, just that it moved, but she couldn't.  The tragic thing, is that she had done some pairs that really worked, but it was to much work to make them. Is it a pair of them you have I'll just fall dead Anyhow cool and strangely elegant! Congrats and wear them in health dear Joseph  Mats
Absolute, stay where you are Radek :-) nt

It's the lugs...
04/26/2009 - 19:44
Radek, I find the lugs of your piece to be bold and interesting.  This newer model has very subdued, even shy, lugs.  Surprising for a VC!!
Great looking timepiece! The third picture captures the Tourbillon

in such depth, it is truly inspiring to view the finish. I can imagine it is really something  on the wrist. So, how about a wrist shot if possible. What a beautiful contrast. Best, Tim
impressive and great looking. now, the question is finding the funds..

Thanks Alex for sharing the news. Its a beautiful piece to own. I love it in every way. Regards, Matt
Only like the tourbillon cage. That's all.
04/26/2009 - 03:40
VC's tourbillon cage is always stunning. Regards Ling
Black dial is stunning...
04/26/2009 - 19:49
really works well with the golden balance peeking out from the tourbillon cage .  The display back screams for more attention!  Will there ever be a skeletonized version?
