Introducing the Traditionnelle Day/Date Power Reserve CEP

So here it finally is! Calibre 2475 now available in a more classical case.

First used in 2005 for the limited edition Jubilee 1755TESSST

Then in 2008 in the Quai de l'Ile (you'll notice that the day of the week has been switched to English)

And now Cal 2475 comes in a 39.5mm Traditionnelle case in the Collection Excellence Platine meaning a platinum case, a drop dead gorgeous sand blasted platinum dial and even platinum thread used for the strap stitches!

Limited to 100 piece

Another amazing CEP piece

Well done VC. Thank you Alex for sharing

Alex, lovely piece. Somehow I imagined this movement in
08/29/2014 - 12:30

a Traditionelle or Contemporaine case last year, and might have mentioned this to you. :-)

I always wonder what took VC so long to use this movement in a classical case.  Finally, its here and looks beautiful.

While this piece does not "push the boundaries of watchmaking" (as compared to the rocketships, spaceships and satellites some other brands and independents are doing); this piece is a clear example of what VC does best.  And when VC does what it does best, no other brand comes close.

Look forward to further pictures as well, especially of the caseback. What is the approximate price?

Please tell me that they will introduce a PG / WG version as this piece will look beautful in all three guises.  Maybe a Plantinum grey dial combination (similar to the Traditionelle 38mm Manaual) and boutique editions with maybe a Guilloche dial etc.  Can't wait.

On another tangent, it would be interesting to see if VC is able to utilize its Annual Calendar movement (used in the QDL) in a Contemporaine or other classical case???

Superb! (nt)

It is so nice to see that monkey back onboard! Hope you had

a nice Summer.

I do like this piece very much. Thanks for the white metal, the blue hands and the proportions are magical.

I would have liked to see a thinner bezel and the hands on the small dials to have a little more flair, like the Jubilee, but those are just minor changes :0)..

I hope to see many nice pieces soon in NYC, my first visit to the Boutique!

Take the best of care and finish the Summer with a bang!!

A real beauty, instant classic

Near perfection, no surprise I suppose but the Traditionnelle style is my favorite.  The blued subdial hands with the white metal strongly suggest a ship's chronometer heritage and I wonder if there was any design consideration of Ab/Auf or Up/Down, even +/- on the power reserve indication?

VC always gets it right with its EP models, but this really is a marvelous piece.

The 2475 in the classical case is a great addition to the collection (I am assuming that VC will later release a standard version in RG?).

It is great to see how VC has successfully used this caliber in 3 completely different watches. 3 beautiful watches - although in my book, the Jubilee 1755 remains the clear winner - this watch in RG is simply exquisite!

Francois, I cannot wait for the standard version version in RG or PG. If other launches by VC in SIHH 2015 do not catch my eye or are too expensive (like SIHH 2014 railroad openworked pieces), then the standard Traditionelle Day Date PR is the one I am going to aspire to and save up for.  Question is; does it make sense to own this considering I already own the PG Traditionelle 38mm manual?

But even if it is similar, I love this piece. As I said in my earlier post, this is an example of what VC does best.

I knew I wanted the Traditionelle Manual 38mm the minute I saw the first pic; I feel the same way for this piece.

This is a beauty.

Can I assume that it is the same case dimensions as the Small Seconds and Self-Winding Date?  (38 mm)

By the way, LOVE blue hands with white metal.  Seriously.  Love it.

I think it is 39.5 mm. Just perfect proportions.

yes 39.5 mm

Great... another one to add to the list.

More like the chrono... PERFECT size for me.

VC have hit it out of the park with this one

What a great piece!

Hi Alex,

What a great piece! Funny, it is just what I wanted from VC, pure day/date in Pt.  I wish I will getting this piece instead of having to pay my taxes this month…

Would it be on display at the re-opening of the Geneva boutique later this month?

The Traditionnelle day Date will be officially launched end of Sept at Watches and Wonders in

Hong Kong so you won't see it in Geneva until end of the year
