Dear Vacheron Constantin lovers,
my name’s Roberto, I’m from Rome-Italy, I’m 45.
I’ve had the pleasure to meet Alex and Daniel at SIHH this year and so, following their advice, I’ve decided to become a (hopefully worthy) member of this Community.
I must say the encounter I’ve had with Alex and Daniel was one of the most memorable things happened to me at SIHH, as they hosted me and some of my friends in the Vacheron booth, with extreme kindness and elegance, mixed to competence and savoir faire. Thank you again for your warm welcome, guys.
Needless to say, I really like Vacheron Constantin; being mainly a “vintage guy”, I tend to put emphasis on its glorious past but I don’t forget, nor underestimate, the present production.
Generally speaking, I like to think watches, not brands but it would be futile to deny the attraction I feel for Vacheron Constantin, especially these days when quality and craftsmanship seems to be hard to find, even in some brands whose production has been usually apposed to the Maison from Tour de L’Isle.
Bad news. Don’t expect from me good pictures, not even decent I’d say, sorry for that.
Here’s a clear example (again, sorry for that).
All I can offer to You, is my friendship and camaraderie.
Kind Regards from Rome – caput mundi,
Roberto, wearing a ref. 49150
P.S. My nickname is due to my passion for skydive
Roberto, great to see you and your amazing watches on the Lounge :-) I

Welcome.  I am new here too.  I debated the Overseas Chrono, but went with the Deal Time.  I see that there was no wrong decision.  Beautiful.  Welcome.
Welcome, Roberto!

You are far too modest. Great watches and photos. JB

Those are two great VCs  and interesting to me that you chose two, what might be called, sports watches from VC.  Now, both the 222 and the Overseas are very versatile watches, ofcourse.  The 222 interests me more and more while it is available less and less. You have made a great introuction! Best Robert
Welcome to the Lounge. Lovely watches and most of

Lovely as always to see a 222, now waiting for the wrist shot during free-fall cool.  Would you join me in wishing that VC bring back a modern interpretation of the 222 with their newest 1120 caliber?
Thanks Everybody

For the warm welcome. I have a weakness for sport watches, true Robert, although the Vacheron I'm currently looking for is a K1072/1, better if a ref. 6694, even more if in its chronometer version. I'm sure Vacheron Constantin will take the chance to celebrate the best way the anniversary of the 222 and I'd love to see a new interpretation of this reference but, while ref. 222 was those times "revolutionary" somehow, a re-release couldn't have the same spirit - imho. Thank You All smiley
Great 222

With your feet firmly on the ground it's a pleasure to welcome you to THLyes... A great entrance with two beautiful VC's. The next time you've got 'your head in the clouds' any chance of a few photographs? Kind regards Tony

Hi Tony and thank you for your kind words. I took a break from skydiving some time ago, like any other sport, it demands for targets and, having lost the feeling with my former team, I found myself with none. Skydiving can be very boring without someone else to jump with. I read Alex likes to skydive, if he asked me to, I'd be ready to drive up to the chosen drop-zone to jump together right now! smiley
Alex, this calls for a response...

Roberto, get the kit ready - this will be too good to misscheeky... Best Tony

Is that a Panerai on your wrist?
04/27/2014 - 03:46
devil.  BTW, love the sandals!  I'll show this to my son-in-law to upstage his fondness for sandals in the snowcool.
Thanks Alex, I'll

send you a pm smiley It's an altimeter, it's mandatory; usually, there's another acoustic device in the helmet, while working it can happen to forget to check for the altitude.
Could A & R fall out with each other?...

Fellow Loungers, rest assured you'll be kept 'up to speed' if the challenge takes placedevil...yes................ Tony

By the way, I got the Panerai "joke". I think it's a bit small for the Panerais though.
Bienvenuto, Roberto!

Mi piace molto il tuo 222. Visito Roma qualche volte in anno. Ti facevo sapere quando arrivero a Roma la prossima volta e forse incontraremo per parlare di nostro passione.
