The rest, nothing new or exciting.  The Patek fans will salivate and the rest of us just shrug.  V & C has more creativity and flair.  Then again, I'm already converted.

They just took imho, the design comes from their old 1463 design in 38mm with rectangular pusher. I love Vacheron but for such a classical design, there is no influence here. And the profile is like some calatravas, for me a typical Patek. The dial, I hope the real view of it will make it look good. Otherwise the watch will be really "flat" The good thing is that it was intelligent to put it in 38mm, it is the right size for a dressy watch imho. I have to see it in real, but if the dial is no stunner, the Vacheron Patrimony chronograph would be really more interesting (especially the "stealth" white gold). All will depend on the real effect of the dial.   he design is classical, the movement is great, but if the dial is too simple, it won't be a heartbreaker for anyone. It the contrary the 5070 had some defaults (small caliber for 42mm, special design etc...) but some could fall in love for. The 5070 was "love it or hate it". Patek was a bit sleepy these last years, they react this year with very nice complications, especially marvellous the Rattrapante 5150 in stainless teel in a 1920s style Just my 2 cents. Francois

There is no need ...
