Jubilee 1755

I was searhing around the web and saw there was an AD that had a 1755 jubilee for sale. I was surprised because I had thought they were all sold. I have been wanting one since I saw the 250th anniv auction, but at the time the one (RG?BD) I wanted kept one step out of my reach. Ihave never seen one in person but from the pictures they looke fantastic so I took a leap of faith and bought this one.

I received it last friday and the pictures do not do it justice. The case is a perfect size for me and the lugs are very cool, so it fits on my wrist perfectly. The dial has several textures and depending on the angle you look at it the colors and textures change. The movement which I understand was made for this model is also very nice...I do wish it were a little larger to fit to the case better but thats more aesthetic than functionality.

I would like to hear from other 1755 owners and get their views.

Goregous watch! That's the platinum model right? I find the Jubilé

to be a true hit, and one of those watches where VC got it right from start to finish.

I love the case, very curvy and sensual, the lugs are pure joy (the 1/4 Malte cross design requets an tremendous amount of hand polishing), I love the discreet anniversary dates at 12, the guillochage is part of the best out there and the overall look is both modern and timeless. The movement finish is also spectacular.

My only two criticisms would be the Geneva Seal on the dial and the size of the movement.

You really have some of the greatest VCs in your collection John  May the watch time only happy moments.

Underdial (the finish for the non visible parts is top notch)

Alex...I agree the case is

a classic and there's no doubt in my mind it wiss withstand the test of time. I hope we see more of it in the future with newer models. The Geneva seal does not bother me to much. The small movement gives me a sense of fraility but this a perception only. Because of the pictures and description of the movement on the hourlounge, it gave me the confidence to make the leap....Thanks.

btw it is the platinum. I would like to see a rose gold in person, it appears it may be more legible. Do not get me wrong I do love the Platinum, but just curious.

great choice, john. i was in love since i set second sight on it......

after i passed the first time when offered during the anniversary. i got used to the seal on the dial though. if there is anything that i can improve, perhaps the the balance wheel a little larger. the rest of it to me is sublime and great value for money.  wear yours in best of health.

Congratualtions on the PT Jubilee 1755!

Hi JohnLy, Congratulations!

The PT Jubilee 1755 is my dream watch and I've seen it online once or twice.  Perhaps you picked it up from one of the sites that I saw.

I'm still trying to save enough to pull the trigger and get one for myself.  Hopefully I can find one when my funding is ready

Enjoy it in the best of health!  BR, Dan

one of the nicest modern VCs, congratulations :-) NT

Congratulations on your latest addition.  It must be doubly pleasing to finally get your hands on something that has eluded you for quite a while.  I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time to come.

Like Alex, I got one in RG too.  Aside from the many subtle details Alex has mentioned, I must say that I love the warmth of VC's RG, and the guillochage on this piece is really something.

Again, congratulations and enjoy your new watch in the best of health!!

Terrific catch!!! Congrats John!!

The Jubilee 1755 is one of the nicest VCs out there, and the platinum model is my favorite... I really like the fact that the dial is also in platinum - the monochrome effect gives this model a little bit more of a modern edge, compared to its two brothers (or sisters?)!!

I personally ADORE the Geneva Seal on the dial - I wish VC did it with all of its models!

I knew that on the grey market there is a WG version selling at a premium to its retail price, but I had not come accross this one - I hope you got a good deal!

So congrats, and wear it in good health!
