Nice pics Radek! Thanks for sharing them...

though when I see them, I do have feelings of regret in passing on this beautiful piece when I had the opportunity to acquire one.   Well, I guess that I will wait on the new chrono with an in-house movement.  Just have to be patient... Thanks again Radek and wear it in good health. Cheers, Duncan
Thank you, Duncan. Hope you can still get one of those Malte Chrono...

pieces... It is an extraordinary watch and feels and wears comfortably on the wrist

I am sure the new chrono with an in-house movement will be a hit but it might take a year and a half at the least to be ready for delivery to end customers...

Hi Radek, I keep wavering on the Malte Chrono...
09/09/2008 - 03:20
and I have said that if it had blued steel hands, then I would get it in an instant.   My favorite chronos are the Lange Datograph and the 1815 chrono also from Lange and sharing the same base movement, with the 1815 seeing the most wrist time due to its blue hands on silver dial.  I also have the Patek 5070, which shares the same base movement as the Malte but has blue hands.  Do you see a trend? In many ways, I like the Malte more than the Patek but what about the hands... Anyway, I will probably take another look at the current Malte again and see if I will finally succumb to temptation.  Cheers, Duncan
Well, to be honest if I were in your shoes I would really stick to...

your original idea and wait for a new VC Chrono with an in-house movement. You already have the best Chronos out there and with PP 5070 in your collection it wouldn't make much sense to get another one with the "basically' same calibre... Still, as a happy owner of a Malte Chrono I will praise it for what it's worth...
Thanks for your input Radek. I will stand by my comment...

made in another discussion.  I would gladly trade in my PP 5070 if the Malte Chrono was nade with blued hands.. Cheers, Duncan
well, I think your dream could become reality

I would check with Mr. Bernaz, I think that for a premium on the regular model (20% maybe?), he could get you a malte chrono with blued hands... I'm not an expert on PPs, but from what I understand, if you were to sell your 5070 to finance the purchase of "your" Malte Chrono, you'd end up with a little bit of extra cash... Just a suggestion... Cheers,  Francois
Hahaha Francois, that is a thought that has crossed my mind...

more than once.  The negatives to the idea are that the cost would probably be closer to 50% above retail and the waiting time would be substantial.  The pricing estimate is based upon discussions with Dominique and the wait is based upon the ever increasing list of orders that his wonderful atelier program have been getting.  So, I think that I will probably have to wait for the new in-house movement, which could compensate for the lack of blued hands. Nice thought though and thanks again Francois. Cheers, Duncan
Thanks for the photos! beautifully taken.
