Many thanks for sharing these gorgeous pics with us Alex. As if we didn't already know this but these images are great reminders that VC is amongst the very best in movement finishing and decoration.  Just beautiful!!!! Thanks again Alex. Cheers, duncan

Thanks for the great photos, Alex! They really illustrate the fantastic workmanship lying just millimetres below those amazing dials. If anyone needed any convincing about the committment to design andquality production that is a hallmark of Vacheron watches, well, you've just provided it Regards, Joseph
Kudos Alex, Especially love that 2755 mvt :>) nt

Ups and Downs

Great pics, that skeleton 1120 is my win-the-lottery dream watch . Huge kudos to VC for keeping movement design slim.  I'm not a fan of Lange's added depth to their designs to enhance the view through the caseback...reminds me of unnecessary, although elegant, engineering. OTOH, that cal. 1400 view shows a big ugly spacer used to house a small movement in too large a case!  VC should either delete the crystal back or make it smaller to view only the movement, or perhaps a hunter back or engrave the ring with the watch model/serial info?  Anything but that.
currently none of the men's models using the cal 1400 have an open

case back.
Btw Alex, thanks for reminding me that the Jubilee 1755 and the...

Quai de l'Ile Day/Date both use the Caliber 2755 movement.  Looks like I will eventually be adding to my Caliber 2755 family. Cheers, Duncan
QdI Day/Date, Duncan? You already chose the combo? (nt)
10/14/2008 - 11:37
Pretty sure that it will be some combination of...

rose gold and titanium.  Need a little more time with the configurator to finalize my choice.  I'll probably do this sometime early next year after the Quai de l'Ile is officially launched in asia.  For now, I am quite happy and content with my self-winding/date model. Cheers, Duncan
you're on a roll here :-) The problem with the QDI is you can

actually have a full collection of QDIs and not have two pieces look the same.
Well, I might end up with a Quai de l'Ile family and a....

Calibre 2755 family. Actually, the calibre family is already much larger than the product family. Cheers, Duncan
Hi Alex, Gorgeous pictures indeed
