A Lucky Leftie

This piece came and went in the blink of an eye on one well-known internet watch marketplace:

A Lucky Leftie

A Lucky Leftie

A Lucky Leftie

Alex covered this unusual variant in his article, The Evolution of Vacheron Constantin Sports Watches, and to summarize there were apparently three made for the CEO of Richemont, Johan Rupert, who was a leftie.  Sad to say, he didn't like the "hair-puller" bracelet (LOL, at least I can share something with the man).  Modifications to the date function and dial were required, but the case was the same, just flipped around!

Drat. A pity I missed this one.

It would be perfect for my wife, who favors a "man,a watch" and (while not a leftie) inexplicably wears her watch on the right wrist. Lastly, she fortunately has no issues with arm hair. I am most happy about that last bit!

A real beauty Dean! A nice addition for the Prince of the North. Congratulations

Thanks for sharing and the interesting fact about Rupert.

Best to all,

how did Rupert's watch end up on Ebay? In any event that is one cool watch and

the one which started the OS adventure!

Do you know how much it went for?

Under $6k

I did not see this one. I would have seriously considered it. (nt)

Me too, Dan

But I looked through the sold listings and couldn't find it on eBay.

Maybe i didn't have the correct search words.

The blue dial is very nice.

From the price, there was no premium for the fact it was a lefty watch.

Quite an extraordinary find...

Well done, Dean, for having s 'sharp eye'enlightened...

I can't help wondering if Holmes would have missed it?

Many thanks for keeping us on our toes...
