Malte PR

I came across the Malte PR in a previous post :

http://www.thehourlounge.com/index.php?module=Thread&action=view&threadid=1464&id=1464http://www.thehourlounge.com/index.php?module=Thread&action=view&threadid=1464&id=1464

This is from May '07 and is referred to as the 'new' model.  The VC website apparently still sports the old model.  Has the new model now been released officially?  Is the website still not updated?  Are there any other links w.r.t. this latest release?

Many thanks  G.

Hi G,

The watch you refer to is the new Malte Power reserve with date featuring inhouse caliber 1420. Delivery of the first models was planned for end of September.

you can read more about it here: http://www.thehourlounge.com/index.php?module=Thread&action=view&threadid=1837&id=1837

To see all the VCs presented during SIHH you can read my report in the Articles section. In 2007 Vacheron Constantin also introduced the Chronometre Royal and 2 other pieces will be reveiled shortly.

Along with the global production models Vacheron Constantin also launched a certain number of models for specific markets.

Is it ladies or for men?

Very balanced.

Usually I don't like power reserve but here it is elegant

Great info - many thanks Alex.  If you know of the MSRP for the PR that would be nice, meanwhile I have the latest catalogue and price list on order from VC.  They really could do with updating their website - n'est pas?!  Best wishes  G.

prices for the new malte Power reserve and date are
10/02/2007 - 21:41

CHF 24,700 in WG and CHF 22,260 in RG

Yes, but...
10/02/2007 - 16:34

the moonphase is too close to the power indicator. I would have prefered a different position. The lower part of the dial seems a little bit "empty" compared to the rest of the dial.

No, opposite !

That's what I like.

The traditional layout would have been as you say,

but because it's not traditional,

it's a true VC !

Just look at the name at the right side,

and the guilloché !

It's a beauty

Doc

for me the best out of the lot is
10/02/2007 - 16:35

the RG Malte Perpetual Calendar Retrograde with black dial... by a mile

how could I have forgotten one of my favorites: the Patrimony Boutique

It's the frst time I notice the VC Malte Power Reserve Moonphase for Taiwan! (I didn't see your post on June ).

Really unbelievable watch!

For me, my favorite is always the Patromony Contemporaine Bi-Retrograde for Cortina
