The building is shaped like a quarter Maltese cross. The floor level is reserved for the watchmakers, that's where the best light is.

Inside is a mix of glass, wood and  brut cement

old machines are displayed in the main entrance

How about a Vacheron Constantin watch

Just out of interest how many time pieces do VC manufacture per year? I know it is speculated that rolex manufacture 900,000 per year and so I assume VC would be far less than this and so far more exclusive?

Also are the time pieces in all the VC range hand made or are they all hand assembled? Is the Overseas range the more mass produced time piece VC manufacture? or are they as exclusive and made in the same numbers as the Quai de l'Ile or Patrimony range for example?

The Manufacturers must be congratulated, having recently purchased an OS Dual Time, the spectacular guilloche dial and the finishing of the polished and brushed surfaces of the case and bracelet never fails to impress me - truely magnificent IMO

VC makes about 18000 watches per year as for the

hand make/assembly all parts are milled using machines. But these raw components are painstakingly finished by hand and assembled by hand.

I don't think that with VC you can really talk about mass production, even for the entry level watches. I don't have figures but I would be surprised if VC made more than 500 OS Dual Times in steel a year!
