Many thanks for your kind words of concern and encouragement

Dear Loungers,

Thank you very much to everyone who expressed words of concern and encouragement regarding the recent natural disaster that has hit the North-eastern portion of Japan.  Special thanks go out to Alex who immediately sent me a PM and to Aaron who started the thread below.  You really are what makes the Hour Lounge such a great community.

As Alex has mentioned, I am safe and doing fine.  Fortunately, we (my family and relatives) are based in Western Japan so we were spared from the devastation.

However, as you know, thousands have lost their lives and many more are still suffering.  Magnitude 6 aftershocks are still being felt and the unsettling possibility of nuclear meltdown still looms in the air.  We can only imagine the economic (and ecological) repercussions of these unprecedented disasters.

May I ask everyone to continue praying for our country.

God bless us all.

The people of Japan are in my prayers....

this is one terrible disaster of an unprecedented scale. I am sure this will not be forgotten for many years to come... I am also most certain Japan and the Hapanese will prevail and come out of it stronger than ever...

Almost everybody in Cyprus is shocked by the events in Japan and we are praying for a good ending of the nuclear plants situation and a quick relief from the consequences of the earthquake and tsunami. My family's prayers are with everybody in Japan.
