a unique piece with so much work invested in it..............

09/27/2011 - 11:56
looks to me like those kinds of pieces are usually kept in a vault and most of the time admired from afar
Deep in my heart,

your's and many with us, let's hope that this was a 'rebuy' by Vacheron Constantin, or some close to the firm, who in future will sell/donate the watch to The Mueum heart Such a masterpece should be possible for many to view smiley Otherwise, let's all of us congratulate the lucky winner! Cheers Doc

As Marko said, at that price it seems like quite a bargain. To Radek's point, I'm not sure if the watch will get any wrist time... IMO, the red birds make the dial too 'loud' and harder to wear as an every day watch - if the red (which of course is Watch Only's color) and been instead another shade of white/silver, I think it would have made it easier to have it as an every day piece. But then again, if you spend that much money on a watch, maybe you want people to noticeangel Cheers, Francois
I tried it on my wrist and looked good but not sure it can be
09/27/2011 - 18:15
worn on a regular basis, more art than watch
if you could, would you wear one of Les Masques on a regular basis? nt
09/28/2011 - 12:59
definitely but the Dove watch just looks more "dainty" more
09/28/2011 - 13:16
arty somewhat like the Chagall watches
What a great result for Muscular Dystrophy!.......
09/28/2011 - 00:54
The sum raised from the sale of the watch is urgently needed for continuing research into this awful disease. Full praise to VC for contributing an outstanding watch which clearly gathered a great deal of interest and attention. I am sure the new owner will wear the watch with much pride. Tony
Can it be right that the Chaumet watch went for 4,000 euros???
09/28/2011 - 23:56
It looked quite funky
some brands really under preformed whereas some

went for surprisingly high amounts!
