Model 96100

I would like to learn some information about my watch Vacheron Constantin model 96100. ( Certificate No. 349503 Movment No. 525032 ) Its production year/date and other production specyfications. I would also appreciate if you could inform me about where to find an original stripe for this watch. Thank you in advance. Zbyszek

its a ref 6100 from the mid 50s using the extra flat cal 1003, however

your dial has been redone as the inscription looks like the models from the early 20s. Normally it should look like this

CERTIFICATE !

You write you have a certificate.  Who has written out that? Colud you take a pic of it ? I think Alex is right in all he says, BUT it could be another movement than cal. 1003, because the case is 'stepped' and hence looks thinner than it perhaps is. The movement number is from end of 50's or beginning of 60's, and indicates cal. 1003. Ref. numbers at VC are mormally four digits, but some have 5 digits, the model 1972 'Prestige de la France' par example. It could also be on the request of a customer, that the text looks like from the 20's or 30's, that information should be in your certificate. I have a faint memory of seeing this dial somewhere. One thing you can be sure of is that VC never put any faces of sheiks on their dial, which PP loves to do, because they get good payment! Cheers Doc
