MONDAY ! What's on your well trained wrists ?

I mean after counting all the moneys you made today!

I have only thrown in 2 cubic meters of fire wood in my woodshed !

Not earned a crown, only paid the farmer who delivered the firewood...

So after this messge, I'm back and sit in front of the of the open fire.

Funny, my two black labradors lies there and really enjoys it.

Two minutes later they are out in the wood, often rans away,

and comes back after an hour.....males MONDAY ! What's on your well trained wrists ?

Still it's perhaps - 2 C °, outside,

and in the same fur?

Compare it to us, with thick goose jackets and caps and thick gloves...

Anyhow this is what I have today in my left waistpocket !!

MONDAY ! What's on your well trained wrists ?

You don't even feel it MONDAY ! What's on your well trained wrists ?

MONDAY ! What's on your well trained wrists ?

Anyone else who wears a waistcoat today ?

Once upon a time...
11/19/2007 - 17:47

I used to dress for work. Nice things, vests, hats, tailored suiuts, a corner office. Now I work in the country and wear jeans to important meetings.

Today is a knockabout day. I have a mix of field and office work, and two meetings tonight. So I went with versatility. I'ts too rare that I get an occation now to trot out the fine stuff.

BTW, do any of you have to work extensively on a computer, and if so, do you have problems with the buckle/strap rubbing on the keyboard? The maratec strap on the SeaMaster is great.

now that its getting cold here, the vintage watches are comming back

I sure wish I had my Patrimony on my wrist
11/20/2007 - 13:22

but it's in Swiss for some dial changing (there was a slight defect on the new dial, so VC exchanged it to a new one...thanks Jaslyn Tan of VC boutique Singapore for her superb service!). So I am wearing my IWC Portuguese today (RO chrono yesterday). Sorry, no pic Doc.

Patrimony Bi-retro

Had this baby on my wrist today...

Unfortunately, the guy at the store wouldn't let me keep it, so I left with my usual Toledo...

Best Regards,

That watch is calling louder and louder to me...sigh :-) (nt)

Alex, you have the $$$ and the wrist size to match...
11/21/2007 - 00:56

What the hell are you waiting for?!

I may have the wrist size the $$$ is a whole different story :-(
11/21/2007 - 11:10

Patrimony Bi-retro - agree with Alex
11/21/2007 - 00:56

There's something special about the watch. I'm starting to like it. I didn't like Patrimony Contemporaine in the beginning at all... until I got it one day and have been loving it ever since. I think it's the same story with Patrimony Bi-retro, it is just growing on me...

How about we go back and discuss the idea of the custom-made Loungers' VC timepiece? Patrimony Bi-retro :-)?

what would you want the "bespoke" bi-retrograde to look like? nt

I don't know, Alex. Haven't given it much thought yet.

I'm just thinking about Patrimony Bi-retro Lounger's edition...

1. it should be white gold maybe (I think I have seen pictures of a LE Patrimony WG/black dial here on the Lounge, was it Patrimony Bi-retro or just Patrimony Contemporaine?) since the regular production is RG.

2. I am not sure we need to add this little special something on the dial. It would kill the beauty and spirit of the watch. An engraving on the case back would do? What do you say?

3. how about switching English into another langauge as far as days of the week?

4. let's go with a regular pin buckle instead of deployment buckle (more comfortable & lower purchase price)

5. the dial color, maybe we could go with grey or blue...

to sum it all up, it would look like this:

white gold, blue dial with days of the week in French (?), regular pin buckle with an engraving on the case back

I do not know if it makes sense... Maybe we should have a voting contest what a VC Lounger's edition should be! Then we could decide what model and what features it should have. I still like the idea of Doc's VC world timer... (especially in OS line).

is the Patrimony you are referring to this one?
11/21/2007 - 14:48

I like your idea and the general idea of having a Loungers' watch and am actively lobbying at VC and hope to convince them that its a great idea

yep, that's the one. God, is it beautiful?!
11/21/2007 - 14:56

It is even better than the regular Bi-retro  But that's what LE models are for.

Can you give me the link to your post on this most beautiful Patrimony Bi-retro in the world? I think 'm going crazy... I din't even like the watch a few days back

Loungers' model - let's work on it, Alex!

here are the links

Cortina limited edition

The regular Patrimony Bi Retrograde

I hated this watch when I first saw it then I got to wear one for about a week to do my article and fell in love with it, I still find it a tad to big but what the heck, stunning piece...

thanks bunches, Alex!
11/21/2007 - 15:25

I tell you what, this is a great watch - I mean the Cortina edition

I feel the same way about Patrimony Bi-retro. I tried it on once but didn't like the feel and look of it. But now I changed my mind...

The color combo on Cortina edition is so much more to my liking. I could live without PT on it, WG would definitely do just fine!
