I'll have to check the history. I do know there is a large family history in which many of the members were watchmakers. Perhaps the Copehagen reference is an attribute to the family's origin; or they may have had a factory inn Switzerland. regards, Joseph

Hi Alex, From what I have been able to discover, they started out in Copenhagen and were entrusted with developing marine chronometers under the Royal seal. They enventually set several plants and I believe there was one in Geneva and another in Le Locle. I'm not sure whether there was a plant in Denmark itself. The headquarters was always in Denmark. So the watch was made in one of their Swiss factories. The Urban Jurgensen watches of current vintage like my Ref:2 perpetual are not made in Switzerland. Regards, Joseph
