Thanks for this, Tourbillon - an interesting read. Good to see VC moving forward. Could the new emphasis on traditional watches mean an end end to the Quai de l'isle range? I noticed there was nothing new with quai de l'isle this year at SIHH. Also, what impact will the Chinese customer base have on other lines - smaller watches? More Oriental style decoration (like the maki-e)?
Classy, two thumbs up! (nt)

The Quai de l'Ile is here to stay and you will see

new versions soon. As for the impact of the Asian market VC will not be changing its product strategy, there is nothing more dangerous than depending on and adapting to the teastes of only one market because when that market goes away you're struck.
Good news

Thanks, Alex - that's good news about the QDI. I like it myself and it fills a gap in the VC range.
I was reading an online Chinese article about luxury goods

The article mentioned that the current trend is to send VC watches as the most highly value gifts.  This is because they are discreet, and while being the #1 luxury watch brand in China - they are still not well known among the larger population.  Therefore the receiver of the gift can feel comfortable enough to wear it without attracting unwanted attention. The article went on to say that most of the VCs purchased in China are for gift giving.  It's good to be VC! Best Regards, Dan
