My First Question of the New Year

Greetings Everyone!

Can someone please tell me if all Chronometre Royal 1072 movements had the Poinçon de Genève ?  I have the seal on mine but have seen pictures supposedly of other Chronometre Royal models without.

Chronometre Royal? It seems to me that all CR wrist watches had the Geneva Seal

May be a parts watch?

That's what I thought too, Alex.  It may be that a "standard" 1072 movement was dropped into a CR case?  I'd appreciate having a definitive answer, though. 

Is there anything in the VC archives that outlines the production standards for the Chronometre Royal line?

I've never seen a vintage Chronometre Royal without Geneva seal but who knows? I'm checking on this...

I received better pictures and can see the Geneva Seal in the correct place.  The seal wasn't colored in gold, which I gather is not unusual.
