Very nice watch and car!  Enjoy them well!  BR, Dan
I like the bracelet...and the white dial makes the watch look

more elegant. Maybe the black dialled version would match the car better!

It's a beauty!!  Wear it in the best of health!  Porsches and VCs go together very well!
That's one swell convertible 911, Tom! Is it the 997 line-up? (nt)

Thanks Radek..............

It's nice of you to say that.  It is a 997.  A 2006 C4S.  It's my only car so I need 4 wheel drive and I put 4 snow tires on and it's great.  I've owned Porsches since the middle 70s (when I was young!!!) Best regards, Tom
Lucky you!

Do you or does your wife have a family car as well or you don't need one anymore and can afford to drive a two-seater on a daily basis? I am a family man and need the extra pair of doors... that's why I can't wait to see the new Panamera in real. It might be the next best thing to your 911

Great car to go with a great watch Tom! Being raised and living in central N.J. for almost 40 years, I'm surprised you can get through Jersey weather with just 1 precious convertible.  Do you have a Cayenne as well for the less sunny days? BR, Dan
Thanks Dan..............

Sadly No Mercedes ML 350 for the snow and the days we need more room.  It's my wife's car. Where did you live in Central Jersey?  I lived in Central Jersey as well before I moved to Northern Jersey (Park Ridge) when I got married 19 years ago.  I lived in Cranford, Elizabeth, and Roselle Park. And how did you wind up in Bejing? Best regards, Tom

How about that one?

How cool is the new Panamera? Are you going to consider it as well?
Cool as hell.........

I didn't like it much when I first saw it (I was hoping they'd make it more in the image of the 928) but now it's pretty sharp. I won't be getting that since my wife's car is an SUV (the Mercedes ML 350) and that's what we take when we need more room.  It's just her and I since I didn't get married until I was 42 so no kids for me and she had 4 but they're all grown and out and were when we got married. Even still those 4 doors come in handy's the next one I'm considering as my lease ends in February.  It's a very old color from the 60s called Champagne yellow and I'll put a black top on it and I'll be back in the 60s instantly!!!.  Now if I could just really erase those 40 years! All the Best, Tom
a really fantastic and bold color combo!

but let me give you a little piece of advice, if I may... there's a 997 facelift model that was introduced in the fall of 2008. mechanically and technically it's like another completely new car - with the new more powerful and fuel efficient direct injection engines, better suspension as well the new PDK 7-gear automatic speed shift. the looks are by far a whole lot nicer too - new LED lamps as well as the great rear lamps!

the one you showed in the pix is still Gen 1 of the 997 line-up. to me the coolest 911 is the targa 4S:

Thanks Radek...............

You are right!  The one in the photos is a 2007 I think and still a generation I.   I'm going for the 2009 or 2010 (it'll be delivered in February) and I, like you, think it stands head and shoulders above the 2006 I have now.  I too like the looks although the Targa....I don't know???  I've always been a convertible guy so that would be a tough switch for me.  Porsche, like VC, just keeps improving their product offerings and keeps tempting its customers.  As far as the PDK it too seems cool but I'm an old school stick shifter so no chance I'd ever change. Just like when I was young I loved my hair blowing in the breeze...........unfortunately it's all grey now! (but at least I still have it!). Best regards, Tom

Its such a versatile watch that it looks great with your white dress shirt or in a spory setting such as at the helm of your Porsche .  Wear it in good health and enjoy it. Best regards, Dino
