My new old vintage Ultra-Fine 4961 (Cal 1003) Circa 1955

Purchased from a vintage dealer in Los Angeles, this 1955 Ultra-Fine 4961 model is really very flat, extremely elegant and looking like a contemporary watch (especially with this recent box). Still working perfectly and very precise, its mythical and incredibly extra flat 1003 mechanical mouvement has a beautiful steady tic-tac ! The 120 parts of this intricate precision mechanism provide a little more than 24-hour power reserve, which adds the pleasure of winding it every day.

A must for every Vacheron Constantin collector to own, however very difficult to find...

Alex, I will bring it to our next Hour Lounge dinner...

A stunning watch. I love the index markers for the hours - they seem elongated. This model is a great example of why VC are no.1 for me at creating a beautifully balanced dial, something which seems easy but many manufactures get wrong
VC at its best, classical yet with a twist considering the lug

Hi Tourbillon,

Sorry to answer lately, I did not measure the case size but it's rather small, probably 33 or 35 mm.

Thanks for your post

Hello, after checking, the case size is 31mm or 33mm including the crown. Best regards Bzcomfree
The same with a balck dial
