Need help to identify if these VC watches are genuine or fake

So my parents work as a cleaning service for vacant houses and found these 2 watches stached far in a closet.  To be perefectly honest neither one of us have heard of Vecheron Constantin watches, so we dont know the first thing about them. I know you're not suppose to ask the value on watches but i was just wondering if these are genuine VC watches or just plain fake ones. It says Swiss made on both of them but anyone can put that on any watch, they're probably made in china for all i know, ha! On the first watch on the back it says NO. 43038, and on the second one it doesnt have a number. We were going to take it to our local jeweler but i wanted a second opinion on it to make sure we're not wasting our time and save ourselves an embarassment. Im leaning towards them being fake, because im sure if they're valued at something the previous owner wouldnt have left them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Two really bad fakes

The dial on that first one looks like it came from a Chinese jigsaw puzzle factory.  I do have one question though.  Is that a slider on the left side of the first watch?  What happens when you slide it up or down?
