Greetings, The dial and movement deign look about 1900-1915 but without knowing the case and movement numbers its impossible to be more specific. Its quite typical for VC of that period. JB

the repeater mechanism activated by pressing the crown? As for value it is difficult to give correct information on just a can as condition is all in these vintage pieces, including the sound of the repeater. It could be worth anything from $4000-$8000

Yes you're right, Alex I didn't look that closely at the movement but you can see the metal circles and the gong hammers. The photo is not that good, unfortunately. There is a slight bulge in the case beween 1-3 o'clock in  the shadow area which may be the slider. Its not very prominent. In the last photo there looks to be a slight difference in the case in that area as well. So perhaps that's the slider there. Better pics would definitely help. Best, Joseph
