New Acquisition #3

Well, here's the third installment of my recent acquisitions.
There are not that many photos since the watch is quite a favourite among Loungers and has been displayed many times already. Its a really beautiful watch, lovely designed case and dial.
I know I should have bought it over a year ago when I had the chance, and saved a bit of money, but better late than never.
Of course, its one of the nicer "sportier" chronos around and has a great almost weightless feel on the wrist despite being steel. It is extremely comfortable to wear.

New Acquisition #3

Here it is with two other of my chronos, both Omegas: The Seamaster and the Constellation Coaxial (sometimes called the "double-eagle"). If you're a golfer, you know what that is and my chances of ever getting one are 0.00000001% or less! Ah, well, hope springs eternal in the human breast, Man never does, but always  tries to get a double eagle, or even a birdie! (To paraphrase Alexander Pope).

THe dial is gorgeous indeed...as well as the bracelet. Those 2 attract me to the watch. Congrats!

Je suis plein de surprise! . The dial has always attracted me, particularly in white and the bracelet was a stroke of genius. I just kept putting it off and telling myself that i really didn't want it, when in truth I did. The watch just kept pulling me back like a seductive perfume Et voila! I have one more minor surprise until SIHH. Regards, Joseph

A surprising, but very nice addition to your collection! The bracelet is truly a work of art, and the finishing on the dial is superb. Funny thing, the one thing stopping me from buying an OS in the last few years has been the fact that it was not available on a strap (I think this is the nicest bracelet EVER, but I am more of a strap guy). Now that the OS is finally available on a strap, I am starting to love more and more the bracelet. Go figure... I do like your Omegas, but IMHO the OS is one cut above them... And your lume shot is pretty cool! Thanks for sharing  Regards,  Francois

Le plaisir est pour moi, Francois. Many thanks for your kind words. I agree with you about the OS but I do love that bracelet! Regards, Joseph

Thanks Doc, Its a very balanced design and I really like the date at 12 o,clock. The bezel really was inspired as well. Regards, Joseph
And of course the bracelet,

perhaps the nicest ever made by Vacheron Constantin ! Love it Doc

the dial is impeccable. the luminescence of the hands reflecting on the dial is something i didn't realise VC can do so well. congrats to yr 3rd beautiful acquistion, makes me wonder whether i made the wrong choice choosing the daytona over the VC overseas chrono begining of the year.

After ther Batman watch, here's the Jedi one :-)

It really is a gorgeous watch. And like Alex, I think the luminous hands look great. Would fit Luke Skywalker's wrist perfectly, a real Jedi watch

Thanks Tacha. I like to wear it when I practice saying: "Luke, I am your faaaather!" Joseph
Surprise, surprise!

Congratulations, Joseph! As most of the guys have already said, I am also a bit surprised with this one.  The watch itself is great (for the reasons that you and everyone have already mentioned) but I was not expecting you to go for it. That said, I think you made a good decision.  I own the old version and I think the new bracelet is a 1000 times better (although I find the case a bit big for me). Thanks for the great photos too! Enjoy your new watches. Kazumi
Re: Surprise, surprise!

THanks Kazumi I guess my demeanor is too serious But I've always liked sports watches as daytime wear. Besides the 2 Omegas, I have a GP John Harrison on a bracelet, a Chopard Pro One (older model) and a Ball dive watch with those super bright glow tube "thingies" (bracelet is quite heavy) So there!!
