New Acquisitions

Here are a couple of recent acquisitions: The pocket watch (my first) is from Antiquorum. Its from 1943.

Now I have to find a chain (fob) for it. The watch is back in Geneva for an overhaul.

The second is from a dealer in Holland. RG with black dial, very nice shape with a P454 movement. First one I found in RG with a black dial.

Sorry about the quality of the pics. I took them today but it was a bit of a rush

Thanks for all the kind comments.

More photos of the pocket watch will have to wait since it is now back in Geneva at Vacheron for an overhaul.

With the help of a friend (who knows about these things I was able to remove the back of the case, or he did.

Its very impressive and very clean. I will try to get some shots this week. but ultimately I may get someone local to make me a new exhibition back. I did that with a vintage Omega 30T2rg movement and it worked out very nicely. (see below).

That way I can get to admire the movement and dial.

Congratulations on the growing family!!! For a moment there..

When I clicked on this post, I was hoping to find more pics of the black-dialed beauty, so I was surprised to see the Omega movement...Before I read the write up, I thought..."What the hell, he's got an Omega movement in the VC case?!"...Hahaha!!   Silly me.

Congratulations JB!!!

I am a big fan of the VC with the black dial and the "batman lugs" (what's the technical name?)

I do wonder however how much wrist time it will get, competing with your QP and your Malte tonneau tourbillon...

Again, congrats, and  wear them in good health!

Thank you for your kind words.

Yes... decisions, decisions!   What to wear, its so difficult (LOL)

I'll have to check on the name of the lug design. I thought it was "bat ears" but I'm sure thats\'s not correct.
