New Acquisitions Part II

This watch needs no real introduction. But it is one that I have admired greatly since its release.
One became available in November and I could not resist. It had no box or papers, however. But it was being offered by a reputable dealer. Their policy was excellent and they were happy to send it to Geneva for certification.
This was quickly done thanks to Dominique and his team and they held it safely for me until my arrival for the SIHH.
I really have to thank Dominique for all his help with this watch and also Salvatore Latrofa, a very gracious and helpful person.
So here it is.

will this never stop?  Like that 'anniversary shelf', on the last pic! Now you just need finding one from the 'false' 150 jubilée watches, 1935, when Vacheron&Constantin still believed they were born 1785. Inside iwas than a 30 year old, small pocket movement, of which they had a stock! It was hard times than, so do as best you can, and they did, of course hej! Doc
This one Doc?

And my favorite metal too.  Although I don't own a plat watch, I have some jewelry and it's amazing how well the metal holds your body heat.  Enjoy this new addition to your stable. Dean
Congratulations Joseph on this beautiful piece!

The Jubilee 1755 is a wonderful timepiece and in platinum, it is simply stunning.  I remember being thrilled when I got it in WG but was totally floored when the platinum arrived.  I am also very happy that the movement is continuing to be used in the current Quai de l'Ile Day-Date with Power Reserve. Enjoy your "new" watch and I hope that you will wear it for many years to come. Cheers, Duncan
Congratulations, JB!!

The Jubilee 1755 is really a special watch IMHO.   Not only does it mark a landmark achievement (250 uninterrupted years of watchmaking), it also brings with it the new VC automatic in-house movement and all that it promises for the future (great attention to finishing, Geneva seal, etc). The guillochage and case design (lugs!) will also bring a smile to your face everytime! Wear it in good health, mon ami. With best wishes, Kazumi
Congrats for this new acquisition Joseph!

You have a nice team of anniversary representatives. Will you try to find the corresponding previous anniversaries, and continue with those in the future? Best , Patrice
Thank you all!
