New Case, old caliber

No no I won't talk about thoses infamous "marriage" but from a rare VC of the 80s with a P485 inside.

the Ref  92232

Alex talked about it some years ago. Were they other example int eh 80s (or any period) of that use of older caliber in Vacheron production ?
The ultra thin minute repeater I suppose.
BTW Alex you forgot it in your brilliant Quantum leap year article now I have reread it. devil

platinum made in only 2 pieces, using cal 434. Strangely the ref is that of a Cornes de Vache chrono The extra flat minute repeater cal 1755 wasn't a vintage movement but a modern creation based on the vintage piece
Both watches look great!

Although I do not know the size of the case, I especially like the proportions/balance of the features in the chronograph (none of those cross-eyed sub-dials we see today).  Very clean and simple.  Looks quite thin too. Have a great weekend, gents. Kazumidevil
Thanks Alex for the precisions !

Agree with Kaz on the well balanced dial - its champagne color goes well with the rose gold indexes... very classic VCheart
