A night in Paris - part I

While we all grieve for Lou Reed, Vacheron Constantin decided to cheer the french collectors in Paris.

We discovered the re-opened Paris boutique, 2 rue de la Paix, close to the Place Vendôme after the brutal burglary a couple of weeks ago. Those guys are really courageous.

A night in Paris - part I

We were welcome by Jean-Yves Di Martino (Director Vacheron Constantin France), Alex Ghotbi (Community Manager and wordlwide master of the VC community of aficionados), Christelle Konan (Director of the Paris boutique), Melaina Mantion (Director of Marketing & Communication, Vacheron Constantin France) and the boutique crew.

As always, some delicious snack and beverages were served. The french VC aficionados were well represented as the wristhots show:

A very nice variety of watches. It adds to the atmosphere of the evening. Best, Joseph
Berny, these are the photos I love the most...

...seeing what was on the guests's wrists, and the turnout here is fantastic. That Cabinotiers Toledo looks very interesting. There are a few others I am drooling over...I had better wipe off my iPad screen. ;-) Looking forward to Part 2. Best, Robert
Great photos. It seems that Parisian collectors have

very elegant taste ! I love the strap on the ultra-thin Patrimony (calibre 1003), and I find the Toledo Les Cabinotiers very interesting. Since the owner has given a wrist shot, is it possible to see more photos of this? Also, I love the Bi-Retrograde. I saw it recently (once again) and fell in love. I think it is on my VC wish-list. As always, the classical Patrimony Contemporaine in PG (last pic) looks ever beautiful.
a really great collection of VC timepieces in one place...

and this toledo one-off project finally went through. how come it has never been boasted here on the Lounge. Shame on you, Patrick!!! You have to share it with other VC fansyes The moonphase design looks quite interesting. did you eventually manage to convince the designers to get the smiley/sad face of the moon?

Hello Radek, Hello dear Loungers, this evening was very impressive, well organised by VC team and a pleasure to meet VC Parisian collectors (almost already known). Novelties were really nice and I appreciate specially the new MR. I discover a special Mercartor I didn't know, too. Special Thanks to Alex, Jean-Yves, Melina and  Paris VC Boutique team. Just received and presented during this dinner, my Toledo. Please find 2 photos for teasing. I will take time at the next full moon to take photos to share with you and a special post to thanks VC "Les Cabinotiers" and Alex who followed all steps. A UNIQUE experience, I wish you could also live at least once in your life. Stay connected. Cheers, Liger
Thanks for the teaser scans, Liger!

Knowing you and your passion towards the watch I expect a full-blown owner's experience report is under way. I would really love to see more scans and close-up shots of the dial and moonphase disc in particular. I love the constellation design on the moonphase periphery! Nice touch. The blue dial always contrasts the white metal case well and so it does in this case, my favorite color combo anyway. Seems like it has become quite popular recently. The red date pointer is quite cool too. Sort of reminds me of this special Malte Chonograph Dubail edition lending a bit of a sporty feel to the overall smart design of the Toledo. In your report could you share more details on the whole 'Les Cabinotiers' process - from inception to the conclusion? As you mentioned this has to be major fun to redesign a concept to your specifications and literally watch it come to life right before your eyes. Congrats yet again!
Congratulations, Liger

Have further inspired me to go for Les Atelier Cabinotiers one off. Who do I need to suck up too? Alex?
For "Les Cabinotiers"

do not hesitate to contact our master Alex. He is THE ONE who could give you all advice to go further in your project and in the process. Cheers, Liger

I need a valid idea. I'm not just interested to go for this for its own sake. It must be justified.
the idea

from my point of view was to create a special model for my familly and to transmit it to my son ;-)))
What a lovely thought ! Look forward to your post on this piece.
