I was pleased and honoured to have been invited to the NYC Boutique opening late September and flew in from Toronto for this wonderful event.
The usual suspects including Bill Lind, Paul Butros and Jack Forrester (editor of Revolution Magazine) were there and many others from the watch and luxury products world.
The event started with cocktails and I was able to chat with Charles Torres, Hughes de Pins and Dorit Engels about VC.
Mr. Torres welcomed one and all to the festivities:

After taking quite a bit of time looking at the exhibition watches (to follow) we went to a nearby townhouse for a splendid meal prepared by none other than Thomas Keller, the well-known American chef (French Laundry-Napa, Bouchon-Las Vegas etc.) and his very capable team. More drinks before dinner of course.
Here Chef Keller welcomes everyone and describes the meal to Charles and Hughes:

The dessert had two pastry hands indicating 10pm the time it was brought in to the dining room:

But for me the exhibition of the historic collection was the piece de resistance.
Here are most of the watches and I have also included the showcase of the current jewel-encrusted VC pieces for those of you with a few million in local currency lying around.

The two watches for the Egyptian monarchs have never been exhibited together since they come from different
private collections but are amongst the most complicated Vacheron has ever made.

these illustrious watches that we usually get to see only in pictures... and I'm sure the culinary experience must have been quite exceptional as well... (I do like the watch theme of the desert, it's a nice touch...) Thanks JB for sharing... Cheers, Francois
Thanks JB for the "insider's" view!

I missed the event by 1 day, frown  as I didn't arrive back in the US until the day after the event. These pictures really help me see what I missed.  crying BR, Dan
