An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting contest

Dear Loungers!

Inspired by previous posts on bespoke Loungers' VC models and encouraged by our guru Alex I decided to begin an official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch contest.

We all dream of having a 'custom-made' Vacheron Constantin watch of our own. For most of us it is definitely out of reach. But as the Hour Lounge community we can incorporate the idea of the Loungers' edition and bring it to life. Chances are that the watch will be actually built and produced in a limited edition that only us – the Loungers' – will have access to. This is my ultimate goal to achieve...

In the meantime let's have some fun and create our dream Vacheron Constantin!

Here's what the whole idea of the voting competition is about:

The contest is divided into two parts.

Stage 1

All Loungers are requested and allowed to post their ideas on what their bespoke VC Loungers' watch should look like. Just try to describe, draw, photograph or photoshop your dream VC Loungers' edition watch. Then post it on our Hour Lounge in this post thread (the contest thread).

Stage 1 of the contest is open as of today November 22nd till December 5th.

I really count on your participation and creativity. Multiple entries are welcome. The most creative post will be awarded (still working on the prize – VC related of course).

On December 5th the Jury consisting of (I hope you will accept my choice since I haven't consulted this with anyone) Alex Ghotbi (the Man), Doc the Junior (due to his VC and Lounge seniority) and Fred 925 (the Photoshopper) will decide which of your proposals will go into the Stage 2 of the contest and also will award the most creative post prize.

Stage 2
Proposals chosen by the Jury will be incorporated into 'real' watches by our talented Fred 925!!!. His photoshop skills will be displayed in several proposals of Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watches on the Hour Lounge. That is when the real voting starts. Everyone can vote his favorite proposal by grading it. Exact rules on voting will be explained along with the voting post.

This way we will choose our ultimate dream VC Loungers' edition timepiece.
As I said before, we can then direct a request to Vacheron Constantin and push hard to make this watch a real thing. I believe it is very realistic.

For now let's have fun and participate! Start your brains churning, your imagination running wild and delivering the best of your ideas!

This is an excellent idea Radek! If I may add some suggestions
11/22/2007 - 12:49

1- To keep it simple lets only choose  watches which are already on the VC catalogue or derivatives thereof which would be easy to photoshop.

2- To avoid having a million watches to choose from lets divide in different categories:

Medium complication (ie Toledo, Bi retrograde)

Very good suggestions, Alex! nt
11/22/2007 - 12:55

I am thinking of a simple watch (to keep the cost low)
11/22/2007 - 13:19

with 3 hands (hour/minutes/second), automatic. Dial would be similar to the one in Bi Retrograde Cortina limited edition (the one Radek posted below), but if we decide to add a date, no cut on the dial please. Maybe a hand-type date as the one used in Overseas Dual Time. Diameter 38mm (allowed?) or 40 mm top, case of Chronometer Royal 1907 can be used. Hands can be either leaf hands or sword hands (of Patrimony Traditionnelle).

Engraved on the back "The Hour Lounger"/"Lounger's limited edition" (something like that) with numbers.

Leather strap. Am I thinking of a boring watch? I am sorry Alex, I am no good at all with photoshop, in fact clueless. I only know how to use the internet!

Oh yeah, Breguet numerals please! (nt)
11/22/2007 - 13:20

ANOTHER THING: It'd be super cool if>>>
11/23/2007 - 09:28

name of each member can be engraved on the back along with limited edition number

Panerai did this once with their Paneristi LE (only for members). So for example: Watch #01/50: Alex Ghotbi.

Nice idea
11/23/2007 - 13:25

Amen to that!!!
11/23/2007 - 18:12

I like that a lot!!!
11/25/2007 - 17:51

Patrimony Bi-Retro Lounger's edition...
11/22/2007 - 12:53

I'm thinking about Patrimony Contemporaine Bi-Retrograde Day/Date Lounger's edition...

1. it should be white gold since the regular production is RG. 2. an engraving on the case back 'Hour Lounge limited edition' 3. switch English into another langauge as far as days of the week 4. a regular pin buckle instead of deployment buckle (more comfortable & lower purchase price) 5. the dial color, maybe we could go with grey or blue...

To sum it all up, it would look like this:

white gold, blue dial with days of the week in French (?), regular WG pin buckle with an engraving on the case back

My proposal was inspired by the Cortina Patrimony Bi-Retro LE in Platinum below

I give my voice to Radek!
11/22/2007 - 20:37

Except for the dial: I woul prefer pink like that:

Patrimony Bi-Retro Lounger's edition...
11/23/2007 - 07:01

to celebrate VC's award of "2007 Watch of the Year".  I like RADEK'S concept.....a lot!

What I would like to commission
11/22/2007 - 13:05

Simple : Patrimony contemporaine in white gold, ruthenium dial with applied Breguet numerals

Sports: Overseas chronograph in titanium with 2 counters and military type numerals and no big date (cf numerals like in the model below)

Medium complication: Patrimony bi retrograde in RG and ruthenium dial

Complicated: perpetual calendar chronograph in Patrimony Contemporaine case

Is it mandatory to have a Sports?
11/23/2007 - 09:47

Re: Is it mandatory to have a Sports?
11/23/2007 - 10:34

Nothing is manadtory. You can submitt just one proposal and that's it. All depends on your creativity!

Good luck.

I am not fan of the Overseas, that's why I gave you my
11/23/2007 - 11:18

vote for the Patrimony Bi-Retro HL

Thanks ;-)
11/25/2007 - 17:55

I think that Patrimony Bi-Retro would make a great HL watch but we have to keep our minds open to ther ideas.

I am currently thinking of other models to comission and submit to the contest...

What are your ideas?

Please share, we need as many proposals as it gets...

Great Idea....I am glad you gave us until Dec 15
11/22/2007 - 13:16

This is going to take some thought

Hurry, deadline is until Dec 5
11/22/2007 - 13:46

need to speed things up on your side John!

My wife always tells me I am I understand!!
11/22/2007 - 15:26

 she may be right....Thanks radek

11/22/2007 - 15:57

Soon I probly write that about you all,

and in a fact you are

I just wrote a letter to my old friend Alex to summarize the first 8 months.

Among the points I mentioned to him about YOU ALL were :

What impresses me most, is how superfast you learn !! How really eager, and smart and fast learning, you are !!

This is a brilliant idea, but as Alex says,

keep it inside the normal production line !

My thought is don't be shy, the prices will be sponsored,

there will be a few made,

so just go ahead!

I'm sure that you'll get the money with a profit back in some years !

I'll have already 20 ideas, but I have to bring a half pro to make them,

oyterwise I only bring you a laugh,

so you tumble on the floor

I'll be back

Thanks Doc, I can't wait for your proposals...
11/22/2007 - 17:23

I would like you to step out of the VC production line limit just in one case... VC world timer :-)

Plus remember you're on the Jury...

I'll do my best!
11/23/2007 - 03:07

The basic idea is simplicty and creativity.

That's the hardest combination of all.

I know only one who is repeating it time after time !

You're 100% right, Doc!
11/25/2007 - 18:01

Simplicity and creativity is what makes it worth waiting for. Please make a submission and we will have something to delibarate about  ;-)))

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting contest
11/22/2007 - 17:16

I am afraid I have no idea on how to use photoshop either.

My proposition is as follows:

Sports: Overseas Dual time YG, Black face, sun instead of moon at the day/night indication, Black leather strap.

Loungers Overseas Limited Edition plus issue No at the back.

Simple: Patrimony Contemporaine 40mm, PG, Pink Gold Breguet Numerals, Blue dial and blue leather strap or Anthracite dial and black leather strap.

Loungers Patrimony Limited Edition plus issue No at the back.

I will not make any suggestions for complicated pieces as I would like to be able to purchase it. :-)

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting con
11/22/2007 - 17:41

I am really honoured to have been selected as a jury member. I just specify thatt I am not a Totosh pro LooL ^^

Thank you guys

My proposals...

- Patrimony Contemporaine in white gold or titane (grade 5 only) without the indexes in circle, and with a little bit larger Malte cross. I would like to see a rutherium dial (Alex's idea) or a dial "Soleil" like in the old Patrimony but in dark grey/black (for exemple the marvelous dial of the Piaget Altiplano).

Medium Complicated:

- Patrimony Bi-Retro in white gold or titane (grade 5 only) without the indexes in circle. For the dial: the lovely "Soleil" dial (I don't think that VC will be agree for a second LE of this watch with à rutherium dial ^^)

  • The Teaser Mask: Which watch can better represent the HL than that one? LooooooL

  • A reedition of the Mercator, in a contemporary size (40/42mm), white gold, with all the informations (hours and minutes) at the rigt of the dial (like said FP Journe: the hour would be discreetly readable during a meeting)...But, still all the parts of the world were already represented by VC in the different Mercator ... to have a really unique watch, we could represent the Pokemon's world, the Lord of Ring's world, the Star Wars' Galaxies LoooooL

  • A wandering hour watch!! I want a wandering hour watch in which we could read the hour at the right of the watch. The theme? I don't know yet...why not a eucalyptus green theme with a nice Koala in platinum (I love Koalas!!!!!)

I wish a recognizable sign with all the watches for the HL in addition to the engraved back of the watch: a crown in the shape of the Malte cross (I don't know if it was already used by VC in the past)... and not a circle crown with a cross in relief above!

A small lapse of memory...
11/22/2007 - 19:32

For the Bi Retro, a question and suggestion returned to me thanks to this post.

The VC Malte Cross, why it is paint and not in relief? A technical constraint because of the hand of the days?

If no, I would like to see the VC Malt Cross in relief! :)

Fred925, push hard for the Patrimony Bi-Retro
11/22/2007 - 23:24

Thanks LN! I will try to produce some pictures this week end (nt)
11/23/2007 - 07:36

I am impatient to be Monday
11/23/2007 - 09:48

Fantastic! Love this place. here goes
11/22/2007 - 17:59

Simple: Patrimony Contemporaine or Traditionnal in RG with ruthenium dial and applied Breguet numerals

Sports: can't think of anything yet

Medium complication: a wandering hours watch like the Masks but with no masks just the metalic treated dial with writings giving a view into the movement

Complicated: Patrimony tourbillon in RG and silver dial like with the excellence platinum models

Great contest Radek

oh I forgot: the back of each watch would be engraved with the HL logo
11/22/2007 - 17:59

The best idea of the year!
11/22/2007 - 18:54

Thanks Radek - this is indeed going to be very exciting!!

I have so many ideas, I will have to organise myself and get back to you. I used to work with Photoshop, but I just recently got a Mac and I am not sure iPhoto will be able to cut it.

One thing I will say is that MANY of my suggestions will incorporate the beautiful moonphase of the Malte QP Excellence Platine - every Lounger should be able to appreciate  this amazing peice of art on a daily basis!

And because this would be for a special edition reserved to the Loungers, one uber cool little modification could be that what ask VC to modify the sculpture of the smiling moon to ressemble more the face of our very dear moderator - this way, Fred, we would truly incorporate your "Teaser" concept!!!

Alex, you should make this post sticky, otherwise we're gonna losse it

I'll start to work on it now!

Veillotron, what about the Patrimony Bi-Retro?
11/22/2007 - 23:32

A very good choice!
11/23/2007 - 18:07

I do really like that watch - in fact, I think the jury is going to have problems deciding which are the finalists because there are a lot of really good ideas.

Practically, it seems that the easiest (and cheapest) would be to slightly modify an existing model, just by changin its color scheme...

However, I do like the challenge that Radek has given us and I will try to come up with somehting a little bit more creative...

Radek, you're THE MAN
11/22/2007 - 20:51

I'm sure you're idea was floating around our busy minds but never had been concreted as you did!!

This way we can see also the tastes of everyone.

Let's go: (all those with the back engraved with The hour Lounge logo)

simple watch:

1)Patrimony traditionelle RG with ruthenium dial and the seconds hand in white with breguet numerals.

2) a new saltarello with ruthenium dial in RG.

3)extra-plate RG ruthenium dial.

sport watch:

1) black dial OS big date, hour, minutes, seconds,  rubber strap, military numerals.

2)OS chrono white (as actually) but with the circular sections of the chrono in black.

complicated: (I'm not a huge fan of complicated watches...)

1) a chrono Toledo in WG. (never saw a rectangular chrono made by VC yet...)

2)an "Explorateurs" with a new theme: universe,stars...

Anyway I'm sure, with you guys, whatever watch will be selected, it will be a GREAT watch.

My thoughts...
11/22/2007 - 22:37

Brilliant idea!!!

How about a Chronometer Royal in Platinum with a Grey dial (like the Bi-Retro special ed).

And in the center space below the dial, the Hour Lounge logo as seen in the banner on the top of this site.

Would love to see it happen!

Happy Thaksgiving to any other yanks out there.

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting con
11/23/2007 - 05:06

Here's my submission for what its worth.

It was actually a proposal I sent to VC for an Atelier  Cabinotier design but it turned out te be far, far too expensive for I thought I would share it here.

It seemed appropriate.

Its a perpetual calendar with a few unique features like the power reserve indicator and the leap year indicator.

However, unless I win the lottery, it will remain a dream, I fear.

The moon would be enamelled rather than etched as would the star field.

The arc above it is the PR indicator which consists of a dark sky and stars (low power) blending into a golden sky with sunlight (full power). It rotates to indicate the amount of power remaining as indicated by the amount of night sky/daytime sky.

The leap-year indicator is the Maltese cross but is feally a 4 prong wheel or disk with a different coloured metal at the end of each prong which rotates underneath the dial and indicates the leap year (a different colour four each of the 4 YG, RG WG and white enamel). It rotates 90 degrees every year.

The middle of the dial is also guilloched.

Anyway, its kind of interesting.

I hope you like it.

that would have been one hell of a cool watch!! Thanks for sharing nt
11/23/2007 - 10:58

You've got my vote on that one!
11/23/2007 - 18:11

Joseph, I think we have the same taste - that would be an extremely beautiful watch!

In fact, I am almost jealous that your idea beat mine to the punch (I did want to do a perpetual calendar without chronograph function, to free up the dial - and it could be also just an annual calendar, if it meant making the model a little bit cheaper and more affordable...)

I really like the idea of the power reserve just above the moonphase!

Re: Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting con
11/24/2007 - 02:43

I really love the subtle ways of showing both the leap years and power reserve. Great, great ideas. I would do away with the big date though... would it be possible to make such a watch in a size no bigger than 36mm and teardrop lugs?!?!

Re: Re: Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch vo
11/24/2007 - 04:30

Anything is possible. They have plans and "blueprints" for all the watches they ever made.

I like the big date though. I put it for "us old fogeys" whose eyesight aint what it used to be!

Aother idea
11/23/2007 - 09:32

Malte chrono/Les Historique chrono with ruthenium dial (no guilloche), WG. But that'd be too expensive I think... 38-40mm top. Dark brown croco strap with white stiching. Wow!

11/23/2007 - 11:05

Before all, Alex, if you think this is inapropiate to post please delete without contemplation!!

As for JB I also make some exercises with La Maison for a bespoke watch, after all I resign because I saw the traditionelle and it was love at first sight...I will keep you updated!

Anyway if it's not incorrect I would like to share the work because maybe it can represent a new occasion for this watch, who knows!  Let's see the options... Black or Ruthenium....

I want to thanks specially MR. Bernaz for his patience and for the great job he and his team made with me: that's why I'm so in love with VC: there is great people behind the maltese cross.

Best to all.

thanks for sharing, very very cool !!! Would you have kept the
11/23/2007 - 11:15

case dimansions?

Yes, Alex, changes in case dimension would have been too expensive .nt
11/23/2007 - 14:19

Re: Extra-plate
11/23/2007 - 19:13

A beautiful restrained and elegant dial.

That would be very nice as a "Lounger's watch"

Re: Extra-plate
11/23/2007 - 19:18

By the way I did in fact commission a bespoke watch which altough not as expesive as my first design is still fairly costly.

I hope to have it in about a years time.

It has a dial based on a previous model but with a newly designed case. and the movement is also different than the original and better I think.

Once the design is finalized, I'll post a photo of the design.

looking forward to that!! (nt)

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting con
11/23/2007 - 14:18

1. Simple: Nathan's idea for a Chronometre Royal with a grey dial

2. Sports:  I like Alex's idea for a titanium Overseas Chronograph

3. Medium Complication: Chronometre Historique in Platinum

4. Complication: 31-day retrograde Perpetual in platinum without "Perpetual Automatic" on the dial

Any of these would be incribed on the back with "Limited Loungers Edition #xx/name" or "Vacheronista #xx/name"

My simple Loungers Edition
11/23/2007 - 17:15

The new Royal Chronometre with the same rose case but make the dial black enamel with applied rose gold Breguet numerals, and the lettering (Vacheron & Constantin Chrometere Royal) and outer bar minute track to be deep maroon, hands to be the same pear shape also of rose gold.

I am going to a dinner next week in Boston and Julian Tornare President Vacheron NA will be there. I hope to discuss this exact dial with him that evening...what do you think, do you think I could get it made??? It would be a dream watch for me.

as member of the jury I guess I can't comment on how cool that
11/23/2007 - 17:21

would look .

Even though if it never becomes an Hour Lounge watch you can of course commission a one off piece since VC now offer this service, see link below:

Julien Tornarre is a great guy, please give him my regards.

I would also like a RG Toledo 1952 with a non guilloche dial either
11/23/2007 - 18:41

in  anthracite gray or dark brown.

Alex, I would like to second your idea on the Toledo>>>
11/23/2007 - 21:03
being a huge fan of this watch, the red gold and dark brown sounds great together. Just a little taper or sword finish on the current hands and of course Fred's great idea about "The Hour Lounge" on the back of the case. Three cheers to Radek for getting this started, this is quite a thread. Best, Tim
A suggestion for the case-back...
11/23/2007 - 20:46

In case of a saphir glass case-back: we could engrave the glass with The Hour Lounge logo without «The Vacheron Constantin Discussion Forum». Or if we work on an automatic watch, we could engrave this logo directly ont the rotor!

If we choice a full case, same topo, but on the metal! ^^

I personnaly would prefer a very discreet THL inscription rather than
11/24/2007 - 09:43

"The Hour Lounge special edition" or anything of the sorts.

I should start saving money right now !... (nt)
11/24/2007 - 00:29

So am I
11/24/2007 - 02:03

Too petite bourgeoisie? Say it ain't so. . .
11/26/2007 - 01:30

I might choose a simple classic, perhaps with date, certainly in Placine and blue ostrich strap.  My twist would be to use "The Hour Lounge" in French = "L'Heure Salon" for the numbers 1 - 12.  The "H" could be stylized into the 11.  "L" would be at 9 so that we could replace the "e" with 3 or a backwards E.  "S" would begin at 8 back to 4.  Again, the "S" could be stylized to resemble an 8, for our Asian fans.

Just my two centimes,

More from Squel
11/26/2007 - 19:46

Now I've thought about it overnight and I'd like to add a Jump Minute feature and an annual calendar for the date window but with a numeric month indicator on the reverse.  There!

another idea on a Loungers' VC edition
11/26/2007 - 22:30

Based on a watch above (Malte Tonneau Dual Time, also known as Royal Eagle Dual Time ) I would like to suggest another submission for the contest with slight changes to make it a very special and own HL limited edition:

1. RG with a chocolate dial - just like in an Overseas Dual Time RG model (alternatively YG with a black/ruthenium dial)

2. words day and night changed into sun and moon pictograms

3. getting rid of 'AUTOMATIC' in the power reserve area

4. HL LE engraving on the case back

Hour Lounge Chronographe
11/27/2007 - 20:45

Based on the two watches above I would like to propose for your consideration an 'Hour Lounge Chronographe':

1. white metal (SS or titanium, WG as an alternative scenario but I am thinking of lowering the purchase price to make it available for the most)

2. a two-tone ruthenium dial with salmon 30-minute totalizer and running seconds subdial (just like in the Patrimony Power Reserve above)

3. Hour Lounge inscription on the dial right above CHONOGRAPHE so it makes one name 'Hour Lounge CHRONOGRAPHE'

4. HL engraving on the case back

What do you say? Like this idea?

Hour Lounge Chronographe
11/27/2007 - 20:51

Based on the two watches above I would like to propose for your consideration an 'Hour Lounge Chronographe':

1. white metal (SS or titanium, WG as an alternative scenario but I am thinking of lowering the purchase price to make it available for the most)

2. a two-tone ruthenium dial with salmon 30-minute totalizer and running seconds subdial (just like in the Patrimony Power Reserve above)

3. Hour Lounge inscription on the dial right above CHRONOGRAPHE so it makes one name 'Hour Lounge CHRONOGRAPHE'

4. HL engraving on the case back

What do you say? Like this idea?

Patrimony retrograde in the Patrimony Traditionnelle case which would
11/28/2007 - 17:19

allow those who find the original watch too big at 42mm to have the same complication in a 38mm case.

VC Chronographe for the HL
11/30/2007 - 13:53

Hi guys,

How do you think about the actual Chronographe in RG but with the dial in black (and better with 38" rather than 42")???'

love the idea but changing case size would be too expensive we need to
11/30/2007 - 14:56

keep existing cases as to keep price "reasonable"

As they say in the Eurovision Sing Contest,
12/01/2007 - 11:14

Sweden's vote goes for a thin,

watcth with this text on the dial:

Vacheron & Constantin !

No engraving on the backside or any other text on the dial,

Vacheron & Constantin.

Like this one of my latest loves,

special made for one person 1931 !

How would it have looked with Vacheron Constantin?...........

Don't get me wrong,

the text doesn't have to be curved,

but I want the original name back.

Sorry bad pic,

but I have not got the watch yet.

You'll see so much of it so you get tired.

Platinum, White Gold and Email...

Pocket watch and small.

But you can't get more Art Deco

From a sick,

but thanks to this

hopefully waiting,

and looking forward to survive

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting con
12/02/2007 - 13:05

I would suggest (if not already proposed!?):

based on the Patrimony bi retrograde, to add Breguet numerals for every hour, on a ruthenium dial, and on a little bit smaller size, i.e. 40 or 41 mm.

Moreover, adding this wonderful moon (same than on the QP chrono, old or new style) at 6 o'clock would be fantastic!

Re: An official Vacheron Constantin Loungers' edition watch voting contest
12/03/2007 - 10:44

How about this?

A Malte Tonneau Dual Time in the PG Malte Tonneau Chronograph case with the button at 2 moving the hour hand 1 hour forward and the button at 4 moving the hour hand 1 hour backwards at every push. The hour hand that should be moved this way is the main one, since I believe that when you travel it's easier to have the destination time as main and the home time as secondary. Also The day/night indication should be replaced with a sun for day and stars for night. No Automatic inscription but instead a THL inscription.

Ofcource we can always use the economical version of the Stainless steel Malte Tonneau Chronograph case

Hi George we need to stick to pre existing cases and movements without
12/04/2007 - 14:01

any movement modifications as to keep prices low. Basically we need to play around with case and dial combinations and small aesthetic changes to make the project "affordable"

My last (probably) proposal
12/04/2007 - 13:19

A PG Malte Tonneau Dual Time with the PG Malte Tonneau dial and a dark blue leather strap. The case I think is the same.

The second hour display will be where the tourbillion is now. The day night indication either on the left of the second hour display as normal, or together with the reserve de march on the left hemisphere of the small disk, which is not used. We can put a hand with a sun on one side and a half moon on the other. The side of the hand pointing at the left hemisphere will be the current. If we keep the original place the day/ night inscription will change to a sun and a moon.

Fred I desperatly need your help.

I don't know what the B and the H stand for at the reserve de march but try to find a suitable word that starts with L so that we can replace the B. (For Hour Lounge).

Good one! B= bas (low in French) and H=haut (high in French) (nt)

Wow, what an opportunity.

If I close my eyes and picture the perfect "everyday" VC, I see a classic calatrava-style case of modest proportions (no more than 38mm) in yellow gold with bold sweeping lugs.  The dial is a subtle silver sunburst with raised gold baton markers all around.  As a special salute to the past, the words "Vacheron & Constantin Geneve" appear on the dial.  Barely visible around the outer edge of the dial is minute track in painted blue, matching a blued seconds hand, while the main hands are of classic Vacheron dagger desgin in gleaming gold.

While the watch would be an automatic, those words will not distract from the dial.  Likewise, no date window would pierce this visage of perfection.  Through a sapphire back, the beautiful calibre 2460 SCC works away, obvious enough to those that know.  As a finishing touch, the finest alligator strap in rich tan brown and blue stitching would fasten with a gold deployant buckle wearing the maltese cross.

Pleeeeease....someone photoshop this dream for me!

Contemporaine in stainless steel with slate grey dial

Hope I am not too late, guys.

In order to keep costs down, I think it would be a good idea to keep alterations and new parts to a minimum.  I have to admit that I have a bias for the Contemporaine Manual Winding model so I would love it if we can have it as a base design.

Base design/model:  Contemporaine Manual Wind

Case material: Stainless steel - inexpensive and rare for a patrimony model?! (RG, if cost permits)

Dial: Slate grey or grey sunburst pattern(Black sunburst or anthracite, if with RG case)

Strap: Dark brown alligator/croco

Movement: cal. 1017 or other "suitable" mov't (cal. 1400, if cost permits)

"Vacheron & Constantin" on dial

Engraving on Case back:

Vacheron & Constantin / The Hour Lounge / start date of THL / limited ed. serial no. (maybe allotted in order of registration to hour lounge or by number of posts? probably too complicated though)

Small seconds, but only if the "right" distance from center can be had.  Otherwise, just keep the design clean and simple.
