You shouldn't have posted such a beauty

Now, I'm a little bit ashamed to say that I wear this Carrera (Lemania inside) :

is that one of the vintage models or modern reinterpretation? Like the

fact that its doesn't have TAG on the dial

Re: is that one of the vintage models or modern reinterpretation? Like

It's a modern reissue (end of 90's) with a manual mvt (Lemania 1873). Although it's a Tag model, it's not written on the dial ; that makes it very close to the original 1964 version. The vintage dial has the mention "Carrera" and the modern one has not.

WOW a Valjoux 72 movement! Love it :-) (nt)

A classic beauty... The Loungers have really good taste!

You mean beautiful watch worn by ugly guy right? :-)
09/20/2007 - 18:44

Do we know each other?
09/20/2007 - 19:31

I wore the same ugly watch today...
09/21/2007 - 23:09

You should not to boast about your collection!
09/20/2007 - 16:24

no one is boasting! we are a group of VC and watch nuts who want to
09/20/2007 - 16:56

share our passion with other VC nuts

vintage 2 tone for me

Your right!
09/20/2007 - 20:16

Nice watch

Have been dreaming of that watch for a year now
09/20/2007 - 17:06

Happen to chance upon a yellow gold piece but I think the RG looks the best.

Very nice Alex...thanks ;-)

Started dreaming about it the very day I saw it and one of my all time
09/20/2007 - 19:38

Hope you find one soon Joe

One of my favorite models...

A small detail, but I really like the Poincon de Geneve on the front - I wish VC did this for all the relevant models...

Nothing on my wrist yet

In fact, I made the vow not to wear any watch until I get my 47112

LOL so how's the hunt for the Malte perpetual chrono going? For your

info the 47112 will be stopped at the end of the year

09/20/2007 - 18:41

Could be going a little bit better... I have one very serious lead, and things are moving, albeit very slowly...

Will VC come out with a "standard" 47212, or  will it only be limited to the Platinum Excellence LE?

I prefer the 47112, but just making sure there is a plan B...

Thanks for the info

For the moment I'm only aware of the new Excellence Platine Malte

perpetual chrono but the case is not the same as the 47112. Don't know if regular production piece will follow.

A Girard-Perregaux !!
09/20/2007 - 20:29

My second love to VC, is GP's later productions,

and today I wear this one, just now

This great shot makes me curious about what VC>>>
09/21/2007 - 01:03

will do with their world time design, whenever it manifests itself. Then we will need to send Doc a GP cuff link for a new picture! Just having fun. Best, Tim

Nice photo...
09/21/2007 - 01:20

Great watch Doc, but I love those cufflinks they are beautiful!  Are they yellow gold, rose gold and white gold?  Those are great and I bet they look great with a nice vintage VC!

Best regards,

Nice watch, nice shirt and nice cuff links, you've got style Doc :-)

Don't know what I missed the most, your timepieces, your shirts or your buttons?

LOL !! You ARE cool Miki !
09/22/2007 - 21:09

Love your comments, always

Thanks for your appreciation guys!

Of course I would have had a world timer from VC,

if only they had.

I have the DTR it's really very practical but shows just one other time zone.

Sometimes you need a world time watch, I have a close friend in Singapore,

several in USA, etc. etc., and I live Europe, so then it's quite important.

It's not so nice calling someone 2 o'clock in the night, which I have done

This is, in my eyes, the nicest world time at the market,

I have had it for more than a year and it's working great.

Strange is, that it doesn't feel as big as it is,

mainly because it's curved lugs.

The buttons were done to my father in 1942,

YG, RG and WG and rubies.

I wear them nearly every week.

Reminds me of my father who passed away to early,

Anyhow I think GP has made a tremendous lift the last years,

thanks to Dr Macaluso.

I also have this GP, made in 125 pieces in WG as an honour to Ferrari,

and even more, Ingrid Bergman, remember Casablanca with Mr Bogart
