The one that got away

Have you ever had buyers remorse on the one watch that you almost had? I have bid on this particular watch twice and was the under bidder both times. I have always wondered ifi had just bid The one that got awayone more time. I love this watch.

Love the unique Jubié 1755! I know what you mean, I had bid on this

model the 2nd time it showed up for auction!!

Alex, what can I say you have good taste

Stunning timepiece but I have learned that auctions are like
11/01/2007 - 00:44

gambeling. When you start loosing you always continue to try to make up what you lost and at auction you bid just one more time hoping to get the coveted watch and in the end you pay twice more than what you had planned

But I do agree that the 1755 Jubilee with its black dial is a stunner and a watch I would love to own!

Truly sublime

Although I am very happy with my regular RG Jubile 1755, I must say that is the sexiest one of the lot (better than the PT).

It would have been nice if VC just came out with that combination, not as a piece unique, but as part of the LE series (even just 100 pieces) so as not to deprive most VC lovers of such a desireable model.

Just the frustrations of a poor VC fan.

totally agree

it is the best of a great series, does yours get much wrist time?

Hi JohnLy

I wear it about twice a week.  It is my favorite among my very modest collection(?).  Nowadays it shares wrist time with a Toledo and PP 5146.  During Summer and on more rugged occassions, my old Overseas Chrono and garden variety Rolex takeover.   Cheers!

I agree with you

this one is really nice. I love that combination of colors - just like the Perpetual Calendar Retrograde Russian LE...

Excuse my ignorance, but I didn't know such a model existed... you say it is a piece unique?

For the 2005 Quarter Millennium auction VC created a unique

piece with black dial of the anniversary pieces and this RG Jubilé 1755 was one of them

thanks for the info :-) (nt)
