03/27/2009 - 19:15

Congratulations, Radek, It looks fabulous! A great choice. wonderful dial! Very, very elegant. Wear it in good health. Joseph
Absolutely agree with you, Joseph! (nt)

This may be your most understated piece Radek...
03/26/2009 - 13:18
but it speaks Volumes!  A wonderful watch that I hope will watch over all the good times in your life. BR, Dan
Dan, you are 100% correct - the watch is simple but grand! (nt)
03/27/2009 - 19:22
Congrats on another stunning acquisition, my friend!!
03/26/2009 - 13:27
Hello Radek, I think I have lost count of all the new pieces you have acquired since we parted ways duing SIHH 2008.  I am glad that "belt-tightening" has a different, more positive meaning for you (tightening watch straps). As you know I have been bitten by the Patrimony Contemporaine bug big time, so this is another version of the watch that you must show me the next time we meet (hopefully you would have grown tired of it by then and be begging me to buy it from you at a desperately low price).   May it time only happy moments, my lucky friend. Totally green with envy, Kazumi
thank you, buddy! Your boutique Patrimony is a gorgeous piece as well
03/27/2009 - 19:25
and believe I enjoyed accompanying you during the purchase. I really have fond memories of SIHH 2008 and miss your great sense of humor. Let's do it again
Congratulations on another great addition.......
03/26/2009 - 17:00
Radek, I am so glad you are keeping the bases loaded. Always believed one needs a watch for every occasion. This one will fit nicely with your dress up requirements for evenings out with your wife. I hope that you wear at least two watches in your collection each day, so none get neglected. Best wishes, Matt
Dear Matt, I wish a day would come I could wear two watches a day ;-))
03/27/2009 - 19:34
but to be honest I keep a different scheme on wearing my VCs. I get notorious with a certain piece and wear it in the course of a few days... Then I would turn to another piece and wear it for a few consecutive days This allows me to fall in love with all the watches again and again. Will follow up on your email in a couple of days. Cheers, Radek
Radek, come on you are a young guy..........
03/29/2009 - 23:13
You can handle two watches in one day, lol. Certainly your wife and kids say your up to it. I was skiing the other day with a fellow and his wife from an area outside Warsaw, Poland. They shared many positive things on your city and the prosperity the last 10 years. I must say they had a strong accent and found my New York accent different as well, lol. Will have more photos for the guys from Colorado later today. Best regards, Matt
Now you have more friends from Poland than just one crazy VC fan...
03/30/2009 - 00:04

Where did you go skiing, Matt? Was it Aspen? If so, I might actually know the Polish couple you did skiing  with...

I actually used to live in the Denver area for a while (Arvada, CO.) in '94, so no accent on my part. God, I used to get this "what state are you from?" all the time... These times are long gone but I still get by quite well and my English is pretty much fluent

To tell the truth, I was part of this educational program called "Up With People" which featured an entire year of schooling and travel (been to 32 diferent states/80 different towmns and cities) in the US. A terrific experience for a young man at the age of 19, fresh out of HS and ready to conquer the world. I loved every day of my stay in US and seriously considered staying for good. I even enrolled with University of Denver at one point but did not qualify for a scholarship. It was so hard to get one as a foreign student and being from Poland I couldn't afford a tuition fee at that time... I've come back to US on many occasions since then and I can honestly say I still love the country

Almost looks
03/26/2009 - 17:47
like the gasket is coming out of the case on your second pic.
I'll take it as a compliment on your 150th post, Kevin ;-) (nt)
03/27/2009 - 20:46
A perfect mix of
03/26/2009 - 18:20
simplicity, class, and the uber cool EP monochrome post industrial look.  Out of the EP collection, this model is definitely the one where the EP dial finishig has the most powerful impact.  Thanks for sharing the pictures... And Kazumi, I'll fight you for this watch if Radek gets tired of it (and you shouldn't be greedy, you already have a special Patrimony Contemporaine)... Cheers,  Francois
Re: And Kazumi, I'll fight you for this watch
03/27/2009 - 05:34
Excuse me Francois but... you calling me greedy is like "the pot calling the kettle black!" You already have a super EP model (Perpetual Calendar Chrono) to yourself, so cut me some slack!  Really, you guys (especially our friend Radek) should stop hoarding all that PT. Anyway, I doubt if our friend will get tired of his new darling.  I've been wearing my boutique Contemporaine to work almost everyday since SIHH 2008 and I am still very much in love with it (actually, it has changed my taste in watches, from the complicated to the simple).  A truly beatiful watch!! Have a great weekend!! Kazumi
Re: Re: And Kazumi, I'll fight you for this watch
03/27/2009 - 16:01

My watch and I thank you for the compliment, but I have to object to the accusation that getting another VC EP to my VC collection (consisting of only one watch, I need to point out) would be called greed - it would merely be the natural progression of my collection, based on a specific theme... On the other hand, you'd be getting two versions of the same model - defnitely greed. Hence, I should get the watch . And in case you didn't know, Radek has agreed to legally adopt me. But as you said, this is all rethoric gibberish - we all know that Radek is not going to grow tired of this baby. And I can understand how you are now attracted to more simple watches... My next VC will have to be the simpler of the 2 QdIs... Cheers,  Francois

Francois, I crown you "The King of BS". Long live the King! (nt)

the end... Disappointed?! You still stand a chance, Francois if your son by some chance becomes my son-in-law. Kazumi, my friend time to get to work on a boy, my girls won't wait forever

Fathering is easy...Fatherhood is a whole different story (ask my aching back). Still, it would be nice to have a blonde in the family (your angels just keep getting prettier and prettier, Radek). I hope our little munchkin also grows up to be just as pretty.  My wife says that it would be impossible unless we figure out a way to remove my DNA from our daughter! Oh well... Enjoy the weekend! Kazumi
funny, my wife says the same thing :-) (nt)

The classic time-only dial is a Vacheron icon.  Congrats Radek on another great choice for your portfolio .
Radek, question please...
03/27/2009 - 02:50
just curious, why did you mention the number "150" in your original post?  Does it have some special meaning?
That's because this EP is limited to 150 pieces. (nt)

Thank you, Dean! A V&C LE icon in EP - it just doesn't get any better
