to continue the pun.
My preference may be obvious, but for me, it would be the white gold on black strap. The yellow does look warmer, but I have a bit more of a modern aesthetic working right now. That said, that particular tonneau looks beautiful in the warm yellow, but I would still go with white.
Malte with seconds markers on dial and transparent caseback.
I think I like the PG version. Have not yet seen the WG version.
Do you think this Malte will look good with a Guilliuche dial, similar to the NYC Boutique Patrimony 38mm?
commission a bespoke piece with guilloché dial?
I like the 'standard' patrimony Traditionelle 38 mm the best. I don't think the dial treatment worked on the Paris version, but it looks good on the NYC version (Paul Boutros photo).
guillochage can either make or break a watch. It all depends on whether it belongs on a particular piece or not. I would love to have a LCA piece one day but not sure what. Let's see.
but I love your twin Malte photo.
am at awe with the moonphase malte you have
How about some more photos?
it deserved. Now here is a Malte piece that looks good with a Guillochage dial !
You are lucky to have this as it has a beautiful dial, a gorgeous moonphase and the legendary Caliber 1400, albiet with the moonphase. I think it is 1410 or 1410. No transparent caseback but with that dial who cares !!!
Please post more photos.
I also like the uniqueness of having the Maltese Cross and VC name are at 3 o'clock. Another detail I love is having the Roman hours at 12,3,6, and 9, with the Arabic minutes. Very unique and interesting. Along with the multiple textures of the dial.
So many unique and attractive things happening there. Again, beautiful.
If i have time, i will post more pictures of my malte for you!!!
