Dear forum colleagues,
I have been recently offered a V&C Cal. P454/5B. My knowledge about these watches is, at best, limited, and there are a number of issues that worry me, which might all well be a product of my ignorance (The seller is well known to me and I have concluded several businesses with him without an issue).
The things that worry me are all focused on the dial:
a) No accent on the Genéve´s second "E". Although I have seen few examples without it in the past..
b) Uneven letter size.
c) Uneven distance between letters.
d) Uneven letter thickness.
Am I facing a poor restoration, a replaced dial, a Frankenstein, a fake watch or simply being led by my ignorance?
Finally, anyone out there has a clue about the market value of this watch?
Thanks in advance!
