OVERSEAS BASIC MOVEMENT

Hello,
what Basic Movement works in the new Overseas Models (with the grey dial) ? Is it the JLC 889/2 or the JLC 899?
Hi and welcome! The Overseas with the grey dials have the

same calibers as in the previous black and wjit dial model. The Chronograph uses cal 1137 based on Piguet cal 1185 (this was developed specially for VC by Piguet and Vc had exlusivity on it for a few years.) The automatic with date used cal 1126 based on JLC cal 889

Hello, mh i have looked in the new JLC Catalogue. There is no movement called 889. I have only see a movement 899 for the automatic watch with date...can it be that the caliber 899 is the new one and the 889 is no more produced by JLC? Or is the 889 only produced for VC?
I don't know about JLC's movement strategy but the 889 was used by

JLC for certain watches such as the Master Control or the Master Control perpetual.
