Overseas Chron Case questions!!!

Recently I bought the Overseas Chron. (http://www.vacheron.com/en/our-watches/#screen=PRODUCT;productRef=49150-B01A-9097 ) My question has three parts:
1) The specific watch has a specific case for storage? (In the beginning I took a case which when I opened it, some parts from the leather where the watch was held, was missing. So I went back and they gave me another Vacheron case. )
2) I the first case I found inside operation manual for my model. In the second case it didn’t have anything inside. This is normal? And
3) In the first and in the second case it had place, for some tools, but the tools wasn’t in place. They told me that in specific watches they give the tools to adjust the date ext. This is correct?

Thank you in advance.

P.S. I think the official Vacheron site should have more stuff (contact e-mail, downloads operation manuals, ext)
Depends on what model, where and when you bought...

Model/when: meaning if it's pre-2009 (there was a change of watch boxes new VC models were delivered in that year) or 2009 onwards. The boxes are so completely different that we simply are talking two different worlds. Where: if you bought the watch at the official AD I am pretty sure the watch comes in a box that is officially certified. If you got it at a second hand (dealer) or a grey market seller, the box is probably genuine but could have been originally designated for a differnt VC model It's best you post the pictures of the box so we can verify your questions and give you the right answers. It is true what they told you about the date-setting stylus. There is a special small compartment in the pre-2009 boxes for a stylus but for pieces like Overseas Chrono it was never there... (why would it be, anyway? it coems in handy for pieces like Toledo or Jubilee)

watches which require that specific tool. As your Overseas does not need one there is none delivered.
