Overseas Dual Time

Hello everyone, I am a new member here and am exciting to learn about these beautiful time pieces.

I’m in the market for an Overseas Dual Time (Black Dial). I was hoping to get some info/feedback from some of you lucky owners of this gorgeous time piece to see if you love it. How’s the movement? Accurate? Comfortable? Scratch Magnet? And I guess anything else you wouldn’t mind sharing with me. Once again I look forward to hearing from you guys. Take care.

Hello Spencer,

While I own the old OS chronograph, the new Overseas line seems to be a hot item nowadays.  You might want to use the forum's Search engine so you can check everyone's previous posts.

The movement is based on a tried and tested JLC ebauche used by many brands so I do not think there should be much concern in this department.  The bracelet is also comfortable aside from being very stylish.

Good luck.

Thank you

I did do an “Overseas Dual Time” Search. I know there’s nothing worse than a newbie coming in and asking the same old questions that have been posed 1001 times before. I’ve never owned a VC, but their heritage, design, and respect among watch purists is what drew me to the brand. Currently I own a Rolex SS Sub Date, Rolex Sub LV, Rolex SS Daytona White Dial, Panerai 111H, and a Breitling Crosswind Special. I was really leaning towards the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, however I think since I already own 2 Chronographs (no GMT’s), and it’s large size might be somewhat of a “fad” right now, is what really drew me to the VC Dual Time. I look forward to being part of this community.

The dualtime was my first VC, its fantastic, sporty, comfortable, and can be worn dressed up.

Hello Spencer,

welcome at the lounge. I am new here too. I was also leaning towards the Overseas dual time and I was saving money to buy it within the next months. Yesterday I found out ,reading one of Alex's always valuable posts, that the Malte Dual time Regulator that was the next at my priority list is going to be discontinued in the next years. (Slowly all round Malte models will be phased off).  It' s a really nice watch and I'm thinking about changing my priorities. I see that you alresdy have a small collection of SS watches but no gold ones so I thought that you may want to consider this one as well. If you want to see some posts about the Malte DTR you should check Doc's posts.

Good for you George!

I believe you're making the right choice

I have had Malte Dual Time Regulateur WG for almost three years now and it's been a great watch. I believe it's way better in any respect than OS (although I am a big fan of OS but do not own one since I am waiting for the rubber band version).

What color have you decided on?

Thanks for the encouragement Radek.  Yellow or pink gold. I really love the two tone dial of your Toledo.

You are right on that. The VC DTR is a very lovely watch. Its a watch that catches everyones eyes. I have a DTR in Pink Gold! and a matching black leather strap! Good luck and hope you had one too! The OS is also very nice. I had lots of good comments too! Mine is the precious OS model.
