Overseas question

Dear friends,

Why does Vacheron Constantin use the JLC ébauche and not the in-house VC movement in the overseas (both the simple one and the dua-time) ??? Does the JLC movement feature a better "shock resistance", as expected from a sport watch ?

Thanks and regards.

And does it have the Geneva seal ???

I don't think that it is a matter of better shock resistance but

rather that the manufacture calibers are probably reserved for new releases, the watches launched prior to the release of a manufacture caliber keeping their original movements.

My understanding is that in the medium term Vacheron's goal is to have all their watches housing manufacture calibers but it is a time consumming and expensive process.

To answer you last question, no there is currently no Geneva Seal on the OS models
