Pending Purchase - A Little Help!

Hoping to enter the ranks of the VC owners but I'm a little skeptical of this watch. I can't find a similar style and the case number looks odd (12345679). It was checked out by a reputable watch store but I'm going to have to plead ingnorance on this one.

Is this watch familiar to anyone on this board? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

I guess misspelling "ignorance" makes me look ignorant and stupid. Help is most appreciated.
Thanks for sharing. Do you have pictures of the movement?

Thanks for sharing. Do you have pictures of the movement? I agree the case number looks odd.
Run for the Hills - It's a fake

Aside from any number of less obvoius signs, the third rate finish and the stupidly fake number on the back are dead givaways.  As far as the watch store that cheched it out, they are either incompetent or in cahoots with the seller.  No one who has ever handled a VC professionally could be deceived by this item.
wow, the imagination these guys have!

I'm wondering what the numbers around the moon phase from 5 to 29(??) are supposed to represent?
I am interested to know which watch store this is? This

is a fake. It has the Royal Eagle look but I have not seen this in any VC catalogue of few years ago when the Royal Eagle was in production. Also, the number at the back is another give away.  You should go and give these guys a sounding.

Even with no VC knowledge, the low quality of the case and the fact you have chrono pushers with no chronograph display on the dial is a dead giveaway this watch is nothing more than a mock made to look complicated.  I even doubt it is automatic.  The numbers around the moon are the 29 and a half days of the moon cycle.

Thanks for the advice! I sincerely hope the seller is surprised but I doubt that will be the case.

If you're trying to purchase this in person, it may even be worthwhile to get your local police involved.  This is an egregious fake and I find it difficult to believe that anyone selling or "authenticating" this watch would not know that it is not real.

I agree. I'm reading through some legal options right now.  Thanks to all for taking the time to confirm my suspicions. For now, it's back to the Omega board for the likes of me. See you next year, I hope!
Sorry, but it's not a real Vacheron

The design is based on the Royal Eagle. But the quality of the metal inn the case, the poor finish, and the "imaginary" dial all point to a fake. VC never made a watch such as this one. I'm sure you will find the real thing and we'll be here to help. Best, JB
