Pictures of a"little" visit at Vacheron Constantin Headquarters

Hello,

I propose you here only architectural pictures, I'm unable to relate you stories, emotions, so, as my habit, let's take place to images.

VC building is just a the left of this highway, we just had to turn right, cross the highway on next bridge, and left again.

You have not seen any body here, but know that we were very very well accomodated.

Thank you to  everyone in Vacheron Constantin.

Deniz

Thank you Deniz and Alex. I like the building alot, very zen and a

perfect place to create such marvelous timepieces

looks more like a high tech company :-) I read somewhere that the

architect having worked on the building had received an award for it!

Great photos
06/04/2007 - 16:57

Beautiful building but i find it too hi tech and "cold".

jérôme

High tech ...

well, there is a lot of serinity in this building. A lot of wood as you see in pictures. Also imagine the water in the main hall... Imagine the little music of the water ...

Of course time of old buildings as passed, but you will see in few weeks where and on what watchmakers work. Wood again !

Deniz.

I think it looks great
06/04/2007 - 19:17

I work in a concrete and glass aweful looking thing and that VC building looks great.

Although I have a stunning view from here over the town and the mississipi river (25th floor)... :)

It's actualyl funny that the building looks crap from outside, but the views from inside are phenomenal...

I'm not a great fan of the VC building from the outside but the inside

all in glass, wood and metal is wonderful

Where is our sculpture ?
06/04/2007 - 22:06

From left the recent CEO Mr Torres, the former CEO Proellochs and the artist Fortio !

Just wonder, Alex :-)

Doc

When we organise an Hour Lougne visit to the manufacture we will not

be guests but rather visiting home...so no gifts this time

For those wondering i had organised a Purists trip to visit Vacheron Constantin in 2005 and the group had offered a sculpture to VC as a thank you gift. The sculpture was a Maltese cross in a toirbillon cage (gorgeous) and the sculptor had actually driven all the way from Austria to Geneva to deliver it.!!

I didn't remember this gift

when I read the pages on ThePurists !

Great idea indeed !

Deniz!

Wonderful pics from you as always :-)

It's a marvellous feeling standing in the entrance,

the glass , stairs and space,

you have caught most maginficent !

This is a quite horryfying pic of Doc and Proellochs...

Pic taken by our dear Maestro, Alex, sorry to say,

I'm sure he was sober :-)

Thanks again Deniz,

I love your pics !

Doc

you guys look like ZZ Top

Re: you guys look like ZZ Top

Yes!

The resemblance is uncanny   !

Joseph

ROTFLMAO !!!
06/05/2007 - 14:23

LOL,

Alex I love that one :-)

Last year I had 2 HD's,

one Sportster and one Softail,

plus a KTM 950 Adventure !!!

No it's empty in the garage,

guess what I'm investing in ?

It begins with Vach............

BTW, those my ZZ friends, have bought several custom built bikes,

from a Swedish Guru :-)

So, they aren't just pretty, they are smart too :-)

LOL !

MDR!

Doc

Well Doc,
06/05/2007 - 10:33

you know that pleasure is for me.

I'm happy to have a face linked to a pseudo now ! Thank's Doc.

Deniz

Shocked ? :-)
06/05/2007 - 14:24

VC

Absolutely not, happy indeed !
06/05/2007 - 16:06

Btw, take a look to my site, there's a new entry !

Deniz

Kidding :-)
06/05/2007 - 17:13

Which one the breguet `?

Doc

No,
06/05/2007 - 17:51

a Chinese square Tourbillon !

Maybe have to refresh your page.

Deniz

Got It !
06/06/2007 - 14:52

But as you perhaps have noticed before I have this mental defect,

not appreciating tourbillons.

I just can't understan the fascination with them!

Of course your pics are, as I keep repeating like fool,

really stunning, but that's beacuse you have the gift!

You could probably even make this old Speedy from 1974,

now my son's, beautiful

But that would be hard !

I more like the inside of my old Kullberg Marine Chronometer,

I think it kills any tourbillon.

1884

Bad shot, but I will come back with some better later !

I just love the fusee and the chain,

still it ticks in my bedroom,

1 s slow per day, every day , isn't fantastic !

Cheers

Quand les grands esprits se rencontrent
06/06/2007 - 19:41

How do you say this ? When minds are encounting them ?

Well, just to say Doc, that the next watch on which I will work is precisely a Speed MoonPhase of ... of 1985. YES indeed ! 1300 pieces approx. Really really more beautiful then the one in catalog today.

Cheers,

Deniz.

Talk of coincidence !!
06/07/2007 - 14:26

I must say it's just amazing :-)

For you some bad pics of my old,

even used as hammer sometimes.

But scars can have it's beauty too

There you have it, from 1974 !

Please give me a hint when your work is presented

Cheers

Doc
